  1. Banuelos vs Carrasco Easy win ?

We are in the weakest division in baseball so maybe they will be able to be at .500 by the end of the season. However, that will be awfully tough if the Twins continue to feast on us like they did last weekend.
  3. Honestly, if the Sox finish .500 this year and probably a 2nd place finish in the Central, that would be a nice step for the rebuild imho
  4. Probably because he knew we would trade him again within a couple of weeks

They need to put Herrera on the IL for his back or for an acute case of inflated era
  6. Doesn't hurt to see what we can get him for on a 3 year deal....after the draft that is
  7. wegner replied to bmags's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Let's get to .500 before any talk of how much we are out of a wild card spot
  8. Colome looks awesome. I am not saying to trade him but it only takes one team that thinks they are a closer away from a world series to net a good prospect.
  9. Leury sure has been a been a nice lottery ticket to pick up for Rios.
  10. Now I'm worried about how long we have control of Gio
  11. I'd love Q back as a veteran presence. That's a great idea.
  12. Who comes out to "start" for the Sox to finish off this one?
  13. I know I am out on an island maybe by myself, but I still have hope that he will be a serviceable piece of the Sox bullpen. Throw strikes Carson!!
  14. I'd have to agree that Bevington was the worst. However, and I was young at the time and could be wrong but I seem to remember that Larry Doby gave the impression of not doing much but I'm not sure he really wanted the job....kinda like Ventura now that I think about it.
  15. Unfortunately I rarely get to sit down and watch an entire Sox game but I did today...also unfortunately. I come to Soxtalk to occasionally gripe if something ticks me off because there are others here that care about the Sox and otherwise I'm just talking to my couch.
  16. That is why I posted earlier that I would like them to move on from Alonso and bring up Collins to take his lumps...let's see what we've got with him at DH/1b and an occasional start at C. I want to see what the young guys have, that is the excitement of a rebuild.
  17. I agree there. I always thought Moncada was exciting to watch even when he struggled but many were harsh last year calling him a bust. Once Eloy starts laying off the breaking stuff, he is going to be a beast.
  18. Welcome to the big show Seby
  19. I think any and all b****ing is justified today
  20. To be fair to Banuelos, it is awfully tough that all 5 of those runs are earned....doesn't help when you have a clown car defense out there
  21. I'd rather see Collins up here even if he struggles. I don't see the point of the veteran presence of Alonso much longer.
  22. Yonder and Yolmer back to back is tough to watch
  23. Nice at bat by Yonder... unfortunately Yolmer was up next
