  1. Nobody will consider the rebuild a true success if they don't win the world series. True success is defined by championships, not league pennants. The Sox have had one legitimate year to attempt to win it all so far. I dont count 2020. The window is still wide open and is still young. This year will be a true test. One White Sox world series win in a 10 year span with say 5 postseason appearances>9 Twins postseason appearances and nothing to show for it.
  2. I think most of it is sarcasm, but in case in isn't, the Sox already told Josh Harrison he's the primary 2B. Sox won't be looking for more infielders.
  3. And zero more championships during that timeframe!
  4. Even if the Sox make 0 more moves this offseason, and then 0 moves at the deadline, but they win the world series, nobody will say this offseason was a failure. As of right now, yes it looks like they need to make more moves. But it won't be a failure until they don't win it all. And yes, they should consider just winning the division, or even just getting to the world series, a failure. This year and next year are the years to win it all. This is our window, right now.
  5. Well there ya go. Conforto still in the cards.
  6. Were the twins ever linked to Correa?
  7. If, and that's a big if, Engel can stay healthy I legitimately think he could be our starting right fielder.
  8. I wasn't disagreeing with it. I was just stating a fact.
  9. JB- "I'm your second baseman bitches"
  10. Av- "I'm your right fielder bitches".
  11. I was thinking about the proximity to LV as well, but it's not really that close to Denver.
  12. Well, this contract is a classic example of a player going where the money is instead of where he will win a championship. Maybe he just likes mountains.
  13. Just throw the whole bullpen in there. Why not. Would answer the question why Hahn keeps signing relievers.
  14. The majority of what I do when I come to this board, especially during the offseason is scroll for tweet updates haha. Usually filter out the rest, but will from time to time respond to other comments (like this). Definitely my primary source for baseball news.
  15. Plot twist. Joe Kelly will be auditioning for an outfield spot! Sox analytics department have determined any human being that has legs, arms and can look up have over 50% chance of catching any flyball. With Kelly being able to throw a baseball extremely hard...can you imagine all of the outfield assists he will rack up?
  16. That's gotta be a haul going back to Cincy
  17. Should've made it green I guess
  18. Were there insiders naming the Sox as an interested party for Harrison or Velasquez? I think not. THERE IS HOPE
  19. I thought today was mandatory report date, no?
  20. I think it will be packed once the weather warms up. The team is good. Lots of hungry Sox fans out there have been waiting for this for a LONG time. I don't think they are going to let rising prices affect them going to games. Might just have to take the Red Line and maybe not spend as much on ballpark food/beverage. There are ways to make the games affordable.
  21. Nice knowin ya Miker
  22. ALL. OF. THE. RELIEVERS.
  23. I think Detroit could make a push this year and make us sweat a tiny bit.
  24. Hard to fit an entire offseason's workload into just a couple days, all while trying to get spring training off the ground, I would imagine. Sounds like an operations nightmare tbh.
