  1. His swing looks so smooth and the ball is jumping off the bat nicely.
  2. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?cid=&lid=&org=145&sc=&sid=milb&t=affiliate&ymd=20180726 Kopech starts in just over an hour with the makeup game.
  3. I agree with the bolded. Seems like if he rocks this start tonight, he will have developed as much as possible in AAA.
  4. Burdi as well when he returns and if he finds success...sometime this season maybe?
  5. https://theathletic.com/443321/2018/07/24/carson-fulmer-knows-the-quickest-way-back-to-chicago-is-through-the-bullpen/ “When an organization calls you and tells you they want to push you to the ‘pen because of the chance for you to get back up to the big leagues as soon as possible, it’s tough,” Fulmer said. “Really didn’t know how to react at first but I think I can be really helpful out of the bullpen. I think I’ll definitely have a chance here soon. Just getting up there and being able to establish myself is the biggest key for me.” “I love it, I love it,” Fulmer said. “I think it’s a really good role for me. I know that the organization is definitely seeing me in that role. I definitely could help obviously this team, but the big league team in that role as well. I’m a guy that loves adrenaline, loves coming in and getting out of situations. I train for being able to bounce back quick and I think it’s a role I’m definitely settling into.” Seems like it's working so far, albeit a tiny sample size. 4 out of 5 good outings out of the pen so far...small sample size.
  6. I definitely think he should have more reps at AAA but if he is still doing this in a month...I think they need to call him up in September (barring another injury, I don't think they will move Delmonico or Palka for him in 2018. Too bad neither one of those 2 can play center...Engel would be out of here so fast. Only thing keeping him here is his speed
  7. Right on. I hate this game of extra year of control. These guys let you know when they are ready to come up, and when they are ready, they should be called up. Not saying Eloy is ready just yet, I mean he might be, and probably is, but he still I think needs to show it for a few more weeks.
  8. I mean, I think there's a positive talking point all season whether he ends this season in AAA or MLB
  9. It's not really me being personally patient. I'm committed to this rebuild...that's enough patience right there. I think you should call the guy up when he is ready, who knows what it's going to be like come that last year.
  10. But we need to keep him in AAA to get the extra year of control!!! (Rolls eyes)
  11. I doubt it happens. He's currently in Kannapolis, not WS.
  12. I also wonder if other players (free agents) look at the tactics of management as well when making negotiations with other players, and if that is a big deciding factor for who they play for.
  13. Didn't that very thing happen with Kris Bryant? Didn't he file a grievance against the Cubs for this very thing?
  14. They have the money. They can sign these guys to the deals they want/deserve. In Hahn's words, the money will be there when it's time to spend.
  15. Especially Baltimore...they just started committing to the rebuild like yesterday...
  16. Is it really wasting a year of service time though? By the time that time comes around for him to be a free agent, shouldn't the Sox already be competitive? Wouldn't you think he would want to stay and sign an extension? Are we going to do this with all of our prospects? 1 damn year isn't going to make a difference. Bring him up and get the fans excited. Give him a taste of the big leagues. Let him play against the likes of Boston, Cleveland, LA and the Cubs. Let him understand how he needs to prepare in the offseason against Major Leaguers vs Minor Leagues. They should do the same shit with Kopech.
  17. Our outfield in September is going to be nuts...think of all of the options for Ricky to mess around with...Avi, Leury, Delmonico, Eloy (his ass better be up here in September), Palka, Tilson, Engel, LaMarre (I assume), Thompson???...that's 9 potential outfielders!! Avi is the only shoo-in for every day RF, and assuming he is healthy (and doesn't get traded), will play there every day. That only leaves 2 spots, and only Leury, Tilson and Engel can play CF. At least Leury can play the infield...probably going to have to rotate a lot of these guys between LF and DH. September is gonna be nuts I bet.
  18. Thought it would be LaMarre, but I guess he will be the one to go when Avi gets back.
  19. When Delmonico is ready to come back to the bigs, do you send Tilson down to get some more regular at-bats, or does LaMarre bite the bullet? I don't think Palka is going anywhere...he gets some pretty regular at-bats platooning with Davidson at DH and I think his power potential is too valuable at this point...not like it really matters this season.
  20. What's funny is the White Sox won a 3 game series against Boston this year at Fenway...so they can shove it. But in hindsight, they're right lol.
  21. l like the "put down the knife and hang the jersey back up in the closet" bit. That made me literally lol, Question...how exactly do these DL stints work? It seems that, whether in the minors or the majors, these players are placed in the "10 day DL) or whatever but are really out for like 3-4 weeks. I think Hansen was technically on the 7 day DL to start the season...
