Overall the payroll would probably have to increase by $25 mill to make it happen.

We are better off taking the chance on a few guys taking the next step like Narvaez improving or Shields rebounding than tie up money with a few extra 3rd tier signings. Figure around $15-20 mill for Chapman and $25 mill for Cespedes. That gives us the best chance to build an elite lineup and pitching staff that can win a world series.

Well does this force JR/KW into a rebuild or going for it mode? I'm really undecided now. I'm thinking they might panic about losing more of the fanbase and go for it again.

Damn they choked so bad though. 3-1 lead and can't close it out wow. Don't think I could ever live that one down if i was a fan of their team.
