It feels like 2019 on loop. Half of a lineup, half rebuild filler.

He will be back to starting a conditioning program. After a few weeks he will then go to Charlotte.

That and is he worse than DK? At least he has stuff and is right handed.

They said he looked good in terms of his throwing. He isn't going to get better or worse down there. I'd take him over DK in a heart beat.

I don't understand why we haven't called him up yet. He's wasting starts in Charlotte at this point. He can come up and take some of the stress off of our arms.

The 2005 season was very fun. Gamethreads will always be a roller coaster, but again 2005 was fun.

It isn't just 28 games. It was the second half of last year plus these 28. There is a pattern of bad defense, players playing out of position, injuries, bullpen meltdowns, etc. I'm okay with 14 and 14 but not like this.

Last night was more than painful. I honestly considered taking a break from baseball. No way the players aren't hurting right now. The 6 game streak was fun but it was still the Cubs and Red Sox, and we didn't score more than 4 in any game. Contention years are supposed to be fun and exciting. It feels like as fans we spend most of our time worrying about injuries and riding the roller coaster with this team that started after the ASB last year. Remember how much fun the Cubs fans had from 2015-2020. That is supposed to be us right now.

This team can make the playoffs in this division. There will be no parade without some major flaws being corrected however. It feels like our outlook is similar to all those playoff bound Twins teams that went nowhere.

That is one example. Not many like it. The Braves have also had a nice run before last season.

A championship season typically has a certain feel to it. I don't see it with this team. There are at least 5 teams that are much better than us across the board.

Where is the guy who said Moncada wouldn't get his job back?

This is a result of our offense sucking. Every game is high leverage when you only score 3 or 4 runs.

That Cleveland and NY trip was so much fun. Damn I'm getting old now ?

I remember a pitcher we just faced who sucked and we didn't score. We just accept the good vibes and move on lol.

Defense is better, lineups are better, pitching is still great, offense still is struggling, bullpen is much better, offense is still struggling.

Now would be a great time to score 3. Pretend that guy isn't on second if need be.

I have a few questions for Rick Hahn.

Yeah and he is batting 9th. This is a nothing burger.

I wouldn't DFA him yet. I would Reylo him at first. He would start with mop up duty and if he starts pitching better, then more bullpen action in lower leverage situations.

You do not start DK tomorrow. We are under .500 and need to get hot ASAP. We had an off day so just skip him and replace him next week.

You fix him by easing him back slowly. No high leverage situations until he has his groove back. He won't like it, but it is his own doing. The bullpen needs to be about riding the hot hand.
