Add this to the excuse counter that I posted below. Nothing to play for and "anything can happen" in the playoffs. How often have teams gone through the motions for an entire second half of baseball and then just got hot in the playoffs? This is why fans are upset about the strategy we've been using, there isn't a blue print for it working. We won the division sure, but the other teams are all under .500 type of teams and rebuilding. And yet, we keep losing to them.

I think most fans wanted Springer first. And then Joc. Heyward at least plays defense lol.

It matters because we suck on the road and away HFA to a team that has a ton of post season experience and success.

Excuse rankings 1. Injuries (even though we played better while people were out) 2. TLR managing 3. Playoffs are random 4. Had to play game 5 in Houston and no team would have won under those circumstances. 5. Kimbrel and Hernandez trades

The Astros are likely to have HFA. Both teams are good but I think HFA decides this series. We tried our best to give it away for sure. Ironically, both of these teams should be in the ALCS with the talent they have. But can either one get hot again?

Yep. Looking like one and done. Can't seem to play well two games in row and our guys are unable to play two games in a row lol.

Minor leaguers can come up and play well for a burst. But can they do it for 162 and post season is the difference.

There isn't a single pen arm I trust in a high stakes playoff game. Liam and Kopech bring the heat but they seem to give up to many hard hit balls.
