Did Hahn discuss Kimbrel's prospective role as a set-up man with him before making the trade?

That is the potential miscalculation. Winning a championship requires a great team and a lot of luck, and usually more than just one run at it. The Sox need to have a window that extends beyond this season and beginning next year, Madrigal was supposed to be part of it. I , for one, am not happy they traded him...to the Cubs.

Trading Madrigal and Heuer TO THE CUBS for Kimbrel thinking he could pre-Close in the 8th was a mistake. Hahn should have looked for a set-up man that would not have cost us Heuer and Madrigal. Kimbrel doesn't even want to be a set-up guy, and from what I have seen he doesn't even look like he wants to pitch for LaRussa or the White Sox. It dodesn't feel right when he comes in for the 8th...it is as though he is already insulted by not being the Closer and maybe lacks some focus.

TA carrying the team on his shoulders.

I'll take it.

Come on 88 !

Squeeze bunt?

Yes yes, you mofos . TA does it again.

Like I said, pitch to Cruz...

Intentional walk no?

I hate this ghost runner bulshit

That might be Collins last major league at bat with the White Sox.

Grinding at bat by Collins

Goodwin is dialing him in. Time to light him up.

To hit below Grandal after this series. Your stats do not show all the LOBs Vaughn has had..in clutch situations. You have to watch the games..

Tony has to move Vaughn down in the order. Too many LOBs in clutch situatons.

Denise M. Huguelet, 67, was shot about 10 p.m. Tuesday in the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan near 63rd Street, according to the Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. She was struck by crossfire coming from two other cars as she headed home from a White Sox game with her husband Michael Hugulet. https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2021/8/18/22630480/denise-huguelet-evergreen-park-teacher-dan-ryan-shooting I take the Ryan to and from games. Anyway, my condolences to this family. Gun violence is out of control and is getting worse.

Did they want to check for sticky material on Bastard's belt?

Anything but a fvlking walk.

This feels like a big game but it probably doesn't mean much.

Is the other Closer warming up?

Vaughn trying to pull hits into another inning ending DP. bafangoul.

Eloy is the type of hero that matters. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/1427784038329245706?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1427784038329245706|twgr^|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mlb.com%2Fnews%2Feloy-jimenez-finds-inspiration-in-young-boy-battling-cancer Look at the smile on the youngsters face as Eloy signs and gives him the bat.

I said that I did not like trading Cody Heuer and Madrigal to the Cubs for another Closer and I have not changed my mind about that. There had to be other trades to get a set-up man that would not have ended up with Madrigal and Cody on the Cubs. Cesar Hernandez made the trade hurt less but I was a big fan of what Madrigal could do as a table setter for our powerful line-up.

This pitcher appears to have been rattled with the injury. He is throwing batting practice. Watch Tim take him out.
