Fisk was a taller catcher that was not muscle bound but had a lot of flexibility and cat-like quickness behind the plate. As an old White Sox fan, I always admired his abilities behind the plate. Teel focused on weight lifting and gained 20 pounds in the off-season, in part due to eating sub sandwiches at his Godfather's deli. Kyle said he did it to gain more power, but that had to make him a tad slower and had to put a bit more strain on the legs.

Is there a video of Teel injuring his knee?

Edgar isn't going to remain on the roster too long if he hits below .200 and can't throw runners out anymore. The home run though has given him a longer leash...that and a possible knee injury to Teel. But he still sucks.

I tore an ACL in high school when my cleat stuck so I hope that didn't happen to Teel.

I think it is now much worse than that. My own thought is that Teel may have pushed the rehab beyond what may have been recommended. Dude was hobbling a bit around the bases a bit when he hit that home run in his first game in Charlotte. He looked like Kirk Gibson when he hit that bomb in the WS. Teel was supposed to be able to run before heading to rehab. That ended up being BS.

Everyone knew this was a throwaway game with Fedde starting.

Fedde is just throwing the ball, not pitching. With the bad news about Teel, this is turning into one depressing afternoon. We just can't have nice things.

I want to see the White Sox win now, As a White Sox fan, I could care less about Ishbia. I doubt that the greed and avarice exemplified in the acquisition and construction of his Winnetka estate or his corporate dealings should lead anyone to believe that he will spend one cent of his personal fortune on player contracts. I just read about the lawsuit against Ishbia by minority Shareholders of the Suns. That influenced my thoughts about the Ishbia "$$$$$" in this thread.

I would not be surprised if Roch, Jacob Gonzales, or some other prospect have better skills in certain areas than Meidroth, Vargas, Colson or Antonacci. However the current players fit perfectly within a team concept. No reason at all to mess with what has been working. Maybe trade prospects for what this team could really use - TOR starters, late inning set-up relievers, and a Closer.

Mune will be long gone unless he is signed to a new Contract before it expires in less than two years. Correct? Vargas will also have to be signed. Ishbia has never indicated that he would personally guarantee mega player contracts yet some fans believe he would. That would seem to be at odds with his private equity DNA and possibly with his personal values. Ishbia, owns the Nashville SC so it is odd that he would want a stadium located behind the Fire FC. Maybe if the RR yard deal falls through, Ishbia tanks the WSox and moves them to Nashville.

Ishbia is not relevant to contract negotiations/extensions at this point and may not be for several years (2034?) Meanwhile his team at Shore is trying to determine the cost of building a bridge over the canal. They may be on the wrong track so to speak.

When the Sox go to Wrigley for 3, it could be bombs away again. Maybe Teel and Braden will be up by then.
