  1. Giolito didn't even deserve a spot in the rotation after last year. A front office that was truly interested in contending would have done something about that in the offseason, but alas.
  2. True. Better not forget them because who knows when the next will be.
  3. People act like the frustrations with the Sox are coming just from a 3-4 start, but its a lot more than that. Its a decade+ of failure bubbling over. We were promised a world series contender by Hahn and instead we got bubkis. ONE postseason win. And lets be honest, even if the Sox somehow made the postseason, this isn't a world series contender. They're not even in the same universe as the contenders. This is the same bad team that we watched last year and the front office made no real effort to improve. Can't blame anyone for feeling negative out of the gate this year. Its a lot more than a 3-4 start.
  4. Seen way too many Sox teams over the years that were right around .500 at the ASB only to utterly dissolve in the second half. Actually, I don't think I've ever once in my life see a happy ending from that. They should be 8 over at least, I don't think thats asking for much. If they're not in contention though, whats the point in even bothering to blow it up? Hahn is still GM and Jerry will still be the owner, so its moot.
  5. The team is sinking into the earth. Us fans can only watch.
  6. Its probably that 70 degree weather. Fans are waiting for it to warm up!
  7. 2023 is picking up right where 2022 left off in every single way. The situational hitting, the bullpen, the injuries. They should’ve given up on Eloy a while ago but now we’ll have to deal with him on and off the IL every other week for the next 6 months.
  8. A win for Kopech? Maybe if his goal is early retirement. Sox fans are so beaten down by this organization they are starting to lose it - I think they call it Stockholm Syndrome.
  9. I was also at the game today and it was brutal. This franchise is really circling the drain. I've never seen such poor attendance for opening day - and that includes days with MUCH worse weather, so can't blame it on that. The fans are giving up after the horrendous offeseason and I can't blame them. Kopech is a bust. So are most of the others who were once highly regarded. Also the new beer patios on the 500 level are a joke and have about 2-3 tables set so far back you can't even see the field.
  10. It was disgraceful. But the angry mob ran TLR out of town and they'll be begging for him back soon.
  11. Except anyone paying attention to this offseason should have been deflated months ago
  12. Kopech has good stuff (had?) but he’s a total headcase and that will never change. He falls apart at the first sign of adversity.
  13. Playing up to their competition is normal for this team. It'll be different when they show that they don't play DOWN to their competition.
  14. The offense is still offensive... looks a lot like 2022.
  15. Is this a joke....? They did a big press release to brag that you can now buy a $13 dollar Miller Lite from a new vendor in the deserted upper deck and then choose from 4-5 high tops that mostly face away from the field? I think the Sox are trying to become a meme.
  16. The stadium deal is the A's announcing a stadium in Las Vegas.
