Bears just got really lucky. That was an incredibly obvious pass interference by Conte.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) Our offensive line blows again. Cutler is also doing an awful job recognizing the blitz.

Reality check for Illinois. I'm not a Tim Banks fan but there is absolutely no talent on this defense and Scheelhaase is who we thought he is. Bad arm, not accurate and can't deal with pressure. I can't wait for Lunt next year. -

Sounds like Trevon Blueitt is decommitting from UCLA. Are kids from Indiana just raised to not honor their commitments? -
Jaguars trading Eugene Monroe to Ravens. Hopefully they trade MJD soon so he might have some fantasy value the rest of this year.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 11:23 AM) What a ripoff. I'd kill to get that kind of return on Shady McCoy right now, but I can't seem to do better than Matt Forte + Hot Garbage for him in this league. Hence my non-caring. I also have MJD. And David Wilson. Being in a 14 team league I only really had 2 RBs with one being MJD so I have basically been getting nothing out of one starting spot each week. While neither Miller or Richardson is great I at least now have 2 legitimate starting RBs and if White gets healthy I have a lot of good options at WR. The guy running away with the league got insanely lucky. He somehow got Charles with the 9th pick because of a couple really stupid first round picks from people, got Forte on the turn and then took Bush in the 4th. I was really hoping Bush would fall to me in the 4th and I wanted Forte in the 2nd. He took both of them 3 picks before I was up. Sigh. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 10:22 AM) 0-4. 4th highest points in the league. C'est la vie. Fantasy basketball is only a few weeks away. Similar situation but 6th highest point total in league (14 team league) despite having MJD on my team who has been about the worst 2nd round pick ever. Despite being in a 14 team league each opponent I've faced has put up at least 125 points (standard scoring other than .5 point ppr). Just absolutely ridiculous. So in complete desperation mode I decided to trade Arian Foster for Trent Richardson, Lamar Miller and Roddy White yesterday. Almost certainly too late to make a difference but I decided to go for the hail mary. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 10:03 AM) I called it horrible from the outset and he's done nothing to prove me an idiot yet. He gives alot of effort, but just doesnt have the physical skills IMO. I hated that pick from the beginning as well. Good thing Emery was smart enough to take Jeffery (which was a no brainer) because last years draft was terrible otherwise. Thankfully this years draft will at a minimum be solid with Long and Mills and if Bostic or Greene becomes a good linebacker then Emery did really well.

So is it still too early to call Shea McClellin a bust by the way? In 17 games he has 20 tackles and 3 sacks. He has proven to be absolutely useless against the run and has no pass rushing skills at all.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 01:23 PM) He made one bad throw where the ball floated when he was tripped up. The other was Jeffrey not getting the ball. Not a great performance but not a disaster. I'm not going to get down too much on the offense based on today but this defense hasn't shown the ability to get a stop all year without it coming from a turnover. That is a huge concern going forward especially with the dline showing no ability to get a pass rush.
-
The Bears dline is absolute trash. Just a garbage unit. They aren't going to be able to stop anyone all year.
-
That play was Grossmanesque by Cutler.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 01:00 PM) No turnovers = bad Bears defense. That is the only way they are going to be able to stop people this year. This dline is garbage.
-
Bears defense getting really lucky. No pass rush at all, Lions running the ball easily but Lions offense has beat themselves on a number of these drives.
-
Thankfully Stafford has missed some open receivers because the Bears defense looks awful. Lions running the ball with ease and have had open receivers on every pass.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 11:19 AM) Sure did, not a real big fan of the football team since I spent my youth and college years watching the Buckeyes. Not sure I know anything about Miami's team this year. The only games we went to were hockey games, football was spent in a bar watching real teams. (my roommates were Michigan, Iowa and ND fans) Miami might have the worst offense in the country and their defense is bad as well. -
South Park is so weak these days.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 08:01 PM) Ok, that was pretty darn good. Agreed. Really strong start for Agents of SHIELD

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 11:45 AM) Why cant he go to kansas? Lyle doesn't have an offer from Kansas right now. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 22, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) Dexter goes out with a whimper. Maybe it was timing. It had me until the end few mins. Eh. It was a terrible finale to a terrible season.
-
Looks like it is going to be forcing turnovers or bust when it comes to stopping other teams this year. This defense has shown no ability to get off the field if it doesn't force a turnover so far.

So I'd like to pick up McGahee since my backs are currently Foster, Jones-Drew and Bernard Pierce (14 team league) and I want some depth but I can't figure out which WR to drop out of Miles Austin, Josh Gordon and Eddie Royal (I also have Fitzgerald, Tavon Austin and Steve Smith) or whether I should even drop one for McGahee. Thoghts? -
I have a Twitter account that I use to follow certain people for sports news but I never actually tweet. I never use my Facebook account and have considered taking it down but leave it up in case there is someone from my past that wants to get in touch with me that wouldn't have my contact info. I really don't like to put private things in the public sphere with my name attached to them.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 11:07 AM) Pierre Garcon and Dwayne Bowe both had good to spectacular weeks and outperformed Larry Fitzgerald. Just sayin'. Also, having MJD and David Wilson in my lineup makes me want to self mutilate. Fitzgerald and MJD both leaving games early with injuries killed me this week. -

It is weird being in this position but with Snider on board I would just say no thanks to Lyle. We are in a position where we should be really good starting next year even if you don't anyone else. I'd prefer not to deal with Lyle who could be Jereme Richmond part II and I've heard he may have a hard time qualifying anyways. Not to mention that there are rumors that Illinois backed off of Lyle to begin with (not saying he would have gone to Illinois anyways) because of his attitude and off court issues.
