  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 10:10 PM) We need to draw like 5 roughing the punters in a row. Bears have like 5 first downs tonight? Yep and one of them was on the roughing the passer penalty where Collins was picked off.
  2. Great play by Bowman, but what a pathetic play by Bradshaw.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 06:26 PM) VOTE EVERYONE - SHOULD I CHANGE IT TO ONLY HORROR MOVIES? FIVE YES VOTES AND I WILL CHANGE IT. Yes, with the caveat that I would define horror broadly to include movies like Alien and Jaws. Let people decide what their definition of horror is and if other people don't agree that movie won't show up. No big deal.
  4. Todd Collins sucks. Seriously, how bad does Caleb Hanie have to be to not beat out a 38 year old with no arm who has started like 6 games since 1998.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:51 PM) Bears really should go to Wildcat formation and just hope for a fluke play. If they could run block that wouldn't be a bad idea.
  6. Also, it will be ignored because of the roughing the passer, but Collins first int on that drive is exactly why its generally not a good idea to throw when you know you are going to get hit.
  7. The NFL is a p**** league now. That isn't roughing the passer.
  8. Well I guess the only positive for the offense is that the Giants don't have a sack yet this half.
  9. Wow Collins has no arm at all. How awful is Caleb Hanie if he can't beat out Todd Collins.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:33 PM) This same line was fine last week for some reason. Cutler was sacked 3 times and hit 6 times and threw 27 passes, that isn't a good ratio. And the running backs only averaged about 3 yards a carry. The oline is an epic fail.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:31 PM) Tice should be fired after this game, seriously. There isn't a coach on the planet that can get this offensive line to block.
  12. TD here for Giants and they might have an insurmountable lead barring a pick 6 or return for a TD. And there it is, f***.
  13. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:24 PM) This is still a winnable game. The defense has been great, hopefully they get a score or Hester breaks a return because the offense moving the ball doesn't seem likely right now.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:22 PM) Collinsworth taking shots at Cutler every chance he gets. If Manning or Brady were playing QB for the Bears the entire discussion tonight would concern what a terrible job the oline is going protecting.
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:21 PM) What kind of a f***ing run play is that? This is one of the worst coached games I've ever seen. Using Olsen on running plays is incredibly stupid, he didn't block anyone on that play in part because he got bumped by his own teammate and fell.
  16. Lol at this offensive line. Nice job blocking assholes.
  17. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:18 PM) Just bring out a college offense here. Wildcat. Reverses. All that s***. Normal offense is failing us thus far. Go spread and split the line like three yards apart. It really doesn't matter what you run if your Oline can't run or pass block.
  18. Julius Peppers continues to dominate and keep the Bears in the game.
  19. Ugh...running on 3rd and 5. They must have a lot of confidence in Collins.
  20. Todd Collins in, Cutler hasn't come out of the locker room. Nice job Oline
  21. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) So, what do the Bears do to improve the performance of the O-line during the season? Not much you can do except have the RBs and TEs help protect but this is entirely on Angelo because everybody knew the Oline was going to be a problem and he has done nothing at all to improve the Oline the last few years.
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:56 PM) Here's a tip: RUN SHORTER ROUTES. They're running Knox and Hester down the sideline 20 yards away, Cutler doesn't have that kind of time to let the play progress. They need to run those plays they ran against the Cowboys after Cutler was destroyed early in that game. Well as SSI did point out the Cowboys didn't have 7 guys in coverage so those throws were more available than tonight where the Giants are only bringing 4 on most plays and still getting pressure.
  23. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:51 PM) Kurt Warner had a competant line and Marshal Faulk and a series of awesome receivers. Collingsworth of course still needs to blame something on Cutler. So basically we should have cutler just throwing the ball out of bounds all game long. Thats some inovative offense. BLOCK SOMEONE. Exactly. Kurt Warner had arguably the greatest LT in the history of football guarding his back side, two HOF receivers and one of the most explosive running backs in the history of football. Completely the same situation as Cutler. Also, Warner got sacked a lot, was incredibly mediocre with the Giants when he didn't have amazing players around him and was truly awful in limited time his last two years with the Rams where he was getting sacked constantly.
