  1. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 09:37 PM) I'm trying to think of a game where Tillman has been consistently burned this year. You could say the GB game, but the Bears strategy in the game was to give the Packers underneath routes so we could strip the ball out (it worked out quite well), mainly because we have a guy like Tillman who may be the best in the league at it. Other than that he hasn't been bad at all, and we've gone up against some pretty good throwing teams. There is no way in hell that the Bears strategy was to give underneath routes so they could force a fumble. That is f***ing stupid. They wanted to force the Packers to have long drives feeling that they would make a mistake to screw it up rather than have their corners get beat deepand if it wasn't for a pathetic fumble by Jones, and that wasn't a great play by Urlacher, the Bears lose that game.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 11, 2010 -> 11:35 PM) A $150 million salary cap would accomplish virtually nothing except handicapping two teams that have sustainable competitive advantages over the rest of the league, and that's simply not fair to the Yankees or Red Sox, who are the biggest revenue generators in the majors. There were 6 teams with a payroll over $120 million this season. The White Sox are actually one of the 8 that had their entire roster get paid more than $100 million and I believe they ended up spending about $101 mill with the additions of Jackson and Ramirez. At this point in time, a salary cap really doesn't make sense. Not to mention that if you add a salary cap the Yankees and Red Sox just use their resources to buy all the top international free agents and go well over slot for every single draft choice in order to build ridiculous farm systems.
  3. Brett Favre sucks. The Vikings would be better with Jackson playing.
  4. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 07:01 PM) Braves bullpen blows the game. (and Brooks Conrad) Best part though was seeing the freak jumping up and down goin ''f*** ya!!'' and TBS catching it by accident. Brooks Conrad lost that game for the Braves. He is having one of the worst postseasons by an individual player ever.
  5. Giants bullpen blows another one, huge HR by Hinske in the 8th as Braves take a 2-1 lead.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 03:39 PM) Anyone penciling Jordan Danks into our starting lineup next year needs to seriously rethink that. We almost are certainly competing with the Royals for last place if Danks is starting next year.
  7. I know he is a rookie but Clausen looks horrible
  8. Bears aren't even trying to score at this point
  9. Bears got extremely lucky Clausen sucks. That guy had the Bears coverage beat by 10 yards
  10. Devin Hester has such awful hands for an NFL WR
  11. This is the worst challenge ever by Carolina
  12. Bears dominating with the running game today. Forte playing great. But holy crap does Carolina suck.
  13. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 9, 2010 -> 11:49 PM) I loved the part:The ONLY player on the Twins that has a chance of being a Yankee is that catcher of yours. What is his name again? I doubt Mauer could handle NY. You might as well ask for a crucifixion if you don't show up for the post season. Mauer had a very good postseason last year and I can't believe there are people that still believe guys like Mauer don't show up when they don't produce. Its a small sample size, with almost any player if they get enough opportunities their playoff numbers will be similar to their regular season numbers. I'm assuming you were in the ARod isn't clutch camp until he dominated the postseason last year right?
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 9, 2010 -> 05:46 PM) Tough facing an actual defense huh Blue? Make Denard throw, and run the football. Michigan's pass D is even worse than their run D. Basically if a team doesn't make mistakes they will score a ton of points against Michigan.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 9, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) Understatement. The corners are bad, but young so they can improve, but Cousins, when he finally has time, has guys open everywhere. The D Line is playing good I think. Bad time for Denard to keep making bad throws. The D Line isn't doing a good job at all versus the run and their linebackers also look horrendous.
  16. Michigan's defense is absolutely terrible.
  17. Braves come back and win. Nice, we have a series.
  18. 3-0 Giants already in the 1st on a HR by Burrell. What a boring first round of the postseason this is shaping up to be.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 8, 2010 -> 08:33 PM) I have no idea who's going to beat the Phillies. Meh they did nothing at all to win this game today. The Reds lost this one themselves. If teams continue to hit their batters, and make tons of errors of course they won't lose but that team is beatable, especially if they face a lineup like the Yankees.
  20. Reds bullpen melting down in the 6th. 2 HBP and a walk leading to a run.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 8, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) Biggest difference between Twins of the 2nd half and Twins thru first 2 games is Mauer and Thome were two of the best hitters on the planet since the ASB, and they've both been awful vs the Yankees so far. I'm pretty sure Mauer led the AL in hitting since the ASB, and Thome led the AL in OPS. Thome wasn't very good against LH pitching this year and has had to face two really good left handed starters in Sabathia and Pettitte plus Mo who just kills lefties so his struggles aren't a surprise.
  22. Lance Berkman dominating tonight
  23. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) Rays teetering on the edge right now. Down 2-0 in the 5th, two on, one out for the heart of the TEX order, Shields gets pulled for Chad Qualls (worst closer of the 2010 season) edit: And boom goes the dynamite. Michael Young 3-run blast off Qualls, 5-0 TEX And that was after a questionable at best call by the 1st base ump saying Young didn't go around on that check swing.
