  1. If Hester had hands and knew how to run routes he would be so good.
  2. Webb has been abused the last two weeks. Good thing Williams recovered that fumble so the Bears could still get 3.
  3. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) I'll admit I'm wrong but I've seen enough U of I teams under Weber underperform to never take them too seriously. Yes, the MVC is just really bad this year. Just hoping my birds stay out of the thursday games in st. louis because it won't be as much fun if they don't make it to friday. That simply isn't true. Weber has had one team underperform at Illinois and that was last year. They were a 5 seed two years ago with Meacham and Frazier starting. His first 3 years at Illinois he had top 5 seeds as well. When he has talent he has won big. Illinois lack of results the last few years is directly related to poor recruiting which has now been rectified.
  4. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 10:22 PM) Nope, I feel like every year people believe the Big Ten is the best conference when year in and year out the ACC and Big East are always stronger top to bottom. MSU is a top notch program but every other program in the Big Ten is very inconsistent. It's probably a product of living in the midwest around Big Ten fans. The national media before the last two years has done nothing but talk about how the Big 10 is down and all the hype is given to the Big East and the ACC>
  5. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 04:00 PM) Virginia @ MINN: Minnesota Iowa @ WF: Wake GT @ NW: Northwestern OSU @ FSU: OSU Michigan @ Clemson: Clemson UNC @ Illinois: UNC Indiana @ BC: Boston College NC State @ Wisconsin: Wisconsin Purdue @ Va Tech: Va Tech Maryland @ Penn State: Maryland MSU @ Duke: Duke Big Ten is overrated as usual. When has the Big 10 been overrated recently?
  6. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 05:08 PM) Question for the Wolverines and Illini on the board: How are Molk and Pocic looking? Pocic has been very solid at center for Illinois this year.
  7. Butler is not impressive at all.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 16, 2010 -> 11:57 AM) Ya, the turnovers have lead to a ton of easy points, still the transition d has been pretty ugly even when we've had opportunities to get back. Half court defense continues to impress though. And there has been odd and phantom calls on both sides. That T on the Northeastern dunk a few minutes ago was laughable. And whichever player has position on either side is seemingly the one getting called for the foul, makes no sense. Yeah, I made that post right before that T was called. Not a good job by the officials in this one.
  9. Wow, pretty weak call to send Northeastern to the line with 3 seconds left.
  10. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 16, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) Our talent level is just so sad. And it's just fantastic to see that in his 7th season as a head coach Chris Lowery still doesn't understand how to run a zone offense or have an effective inbounds plays, f***in pathetic. On the positive side(I have to find something) our half court defense actually looked pretty decent that half. Hopefully when we're not completely outclassed like we were against the Illini we can be an above average defensive team this season. Also, if Stephen Bardo(a guy who is usually pretty well educated on SIU, he is from Carbondale after all) brings up Floorburn U again, I'm going to drive down to Carbondale and kick him in the face, that stuff died when the remaining starters from the sweet 16 team departed, and it's embarrassing for this group to be mentioned with it. SIU's half court defense has been very good today. They are just killing themselves with turnovers though which have let Northeastern get into transition in the 2nd half. Also, as an unbiased observer SIU has been on the short end of the stick on the calls in the last 5 minutes.
  11. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 09:18 PM) It's good to see McNabb's extension is really paying early dividends for the Redskins tonight... oh wait. Watching this makes me so pissed the Bears managed to lose to Washington. They suck. He has had a bad year but it isn't his fault his receivers can't catch and his defense is a joke.
  12. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 13, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) That's not quite accurate this week. We punted, and we held them, it worked, and it wouldn't have sealed the game with a 1st down anyway. We got the ball back anyway at basically the same spot and didn't do s*** with it. Defense blew. True, and on that next possession they had 1st and 6 and Petrino did a terrible job with his play calls.
  13. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 13, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) f***ing pathetic joke of a team. f***ing f*** are you s***ting me. God f***ing damn it. f*** off. Ron Zook is in the top 5 worst coaches in America. Guy is beyond clueless. And two straight weeks your offense is dominating and your defense sucks and you have 4th and 1s that can seal the game and both times you punt? GTFO and grow some balls, put the game in the hands of your unit that is playing well. Also, not using your timeouts once Minny was inside the 5 was inexcusable. You have to give your offense time in that situation.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 9, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) New Tron Legacy trailer = awesome http://screenrant.com/tron-legacy-trailer-3-sandy-87008/ I can't wait for this movie to come out.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 09:15 PM) Richmond been playing? Yeah I think he has 6 pts right now. Looks like Weber is going to go primarily with a 9 man rotation this year. Dmac, Tisdale, Davis, Cole, DJ, Paul, Richmond, Leonard and Griffey will all play 10+ minutes. And then I think Crandall Head will see a little time. Head is a freak athlete and handles the ball well but he is out of control on offense and can't shoot at all. Bertrand won't see much time, just not good enough on the offensive end in the half court yet.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) I've said it before. In high school, he got better every year. It will probably be the same in college. Hope he is consistent this year. The biggest thing to me is he improved the mechanics on his jump shot. Last year he had a ton of wasted movement and he rarely jumped straight up and down which makes it extremely difficult to have a consistent release. That isn't the case this year.
  17. Brian, your boy BP3 is killing it.
  18. Looks like I spoke to soon about the Vikings game. What a chokejob by the Cardinals.
  19. Bears got really lucky on that second down play. Good throw by Fitzpatrick and that is a huge gain good chance at a TD.
  20. LOL at the Vikings. First and goal from the 6 and you have Adrian Peterson so lets throw the ball 4 times and not score. The Vikings would have been better off if Favre hadn't come back this year.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Nov 7, 2010 -> 03:40 PM) Bennett 23 Knox 24 Forte 24 Williams 25 Webb 22 Wright 22 Wootton 23 Roach 25 Bowman 25 Moore 23 The Bears have talent. What they don't have is a coaching staff to best utilize and evaluate and develop that talent. They also don't have a GM who can properly evaluate team weaknesses and do something about them. Young does not equal talented. What have Webb, Williams, Wooten, Roach, Bowman, etc shown you that suggests they are good football players?
  22. Nice catch by Jennings, but he got lucky there. He got beat bad on that route.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 7, 2010 -> 03:26 PM) If the Bears don't get better players, its not going to matter who the coach is next year. The scary thing for the Bears franchise right now is that they have very little young talent. The defense is effective because of 3 guys who are all 30+ years old (well Briggs will be on a few days). The offense has basically no talent on the oline, mediocre WR and mediocre RB with an incredibly talented but inconsistent QB who has very little help around him. What happens when Briggs, Urlacher or Peppers start going down hill? Angelo's horrid drafting and personnel moves the last several years have put the Bears in a position where they could like be in for a 10 year run of awful football if the stars on D have quick declines. Angelo's drafting since 2004 has been an embarrassment. He has no business having a job as a GM in the NFL right now.
