  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 8, 2010 -> 12:02 PM) Man, Kevin Love is a f***ing beast. And he's, like, white. That's not a racial remark. So please don't suspend me. I'm just not used to this. I'm glad a white dude is making his mark. 20.1 PPG/15.3 RPG in just 34 minutes? Wow. The scouts certainly dropped the ball on this guy. He was a top 5 pick in a loaded draft and was a top 10 player in the greatest HS class of all time. What scouts dropped the ball on him?
  2. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 8, 2010 -> 12:11 AM) They do this every year. Ranked top 5 preseason, lose some games out of conference, win the Big Ten, make the Final Four, repeat. Yep, but the one thing that would have me somewhat concerned if I was an MSU fan is that this team is made up of basically all JRs and SRs. They shouldn't be struggling like this right now.
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 05:46 PM) I think I know what he whispered, but I don't want to give it away. It might be something thats in the comic. It wasn't in the comic. As I posted above, they never went to the CDC in the comic and Jenner doesn't exist in the comic. That episode had nothing to do with the comic.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 6, 2010 -> 11:31 AM) (Walking Dead) So what did the doctor whisper in to the guy's ear at the end? Was it something that was in the comic? None of that stuff at the CDC was in the comic. For the most part the series has followed the plot of the comics closely but the last couple of episodes have basically been original material.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 4, 2010 -> 07:24 PM) for a 5 min stretch where brandon paul threw up some luck threes. Wide open 3s aren't lucky and in that stretch Paul and DJ both attacked the basket and either got layups or drew fouls.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 4, 2010 -> 07:09 PM) Best way to beat Illinois: get McCamey out of the game. They are a very, very average team without him running the show. Tough to do when he is always guarding the worst player on the other team and Illinois did better with him on the bench in the first half.
  7. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 4, 2010 -> 06:48 PM) Illinois is just dirty from downtown right now. 30 points off of 3's. Gonzaga has apparently decided not to guard us at the 3 pt line. Also, if Tisdale was mobile at all he would be an NBA all star in the making. He might be the best shooter in college basketball regardless of size.
  8. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 4, 2010 -> 03:22 AM) I think it was actually his ankle that got f'd up. His foot got contorted in an awful way. That said, the 3rd down spot was in Illinois' favor. I think you are right about the injury and shockingly there were some reports that he was walking around in the locker room after the game. The third down spot was in Illinois favor but even if you give Fresno a little bit extra on 3rd they still didn't pick up that 4th down. That back barely crossed the line of scrimmage.
  9. The 4th down spot was bad enough that the Sportcenter anchor made fun of the officials for screwing it up.
  10. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 4, 2010 -> 01:23 AM) Illini getting f***ed big-time on this Fresno drive: s***ty personal foul call, s***ty false start, s***ty, s***ty, s***ty spot. Fresno didn't come within a half yard of picking up that first down. Also, no major college team should ever play a game at Fresno St. That field is a f***ing joke. It makes the turf at Soldier Field look majestic and Ian Thomas almost certainly blew out his knee in large part because of that piece of s*** turf.
  11. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 11:15 PM) Wow Kansas gets bailed out by the refs. UCLA hit a 3 to tie it with less than 10 seconds. On Kansas' possession there was a loose ball and they called a foul that wasn't even a shooting foul on UCLA with less than a second to go. That's terrible. That was freaking awful. And seriously, does any team other then Kansas, UNC, Duke or Kentucky get that call? I don't think so.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 04:49 AM) I'm stoked! And a little drunk. So bear with me. I've loved this guy since '03. He's one of those guys that you know will K a lot, but when he connects? Good god! It's like we're getting the '06 version of Jim Thome for the next 4 years. Thank you, Kenny/Jerry! I love the move but Adam Dunn wishes he was the hitter Thome was in 06. He has never had a season at the plate of that caliber. But hopefully fans appreciate him more than they did Thome. It is sad that Thome doesn't get more credit for being productive as he was with the Sox.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 03:42 AM) We're getting into Chicago Cubs territory here when it comes to the spending. WTF? Looks like Reinsdorf is going all in this year and I love it.
  14. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 30, 2010 -> 11:05 PM) Are the jackass Illini students really chanting overrated at a team that is not ranked? If that was for Barnes, then that makes more sense. It was directed at Barnes
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 02:25 PM) I thought Avatar was pretty meh. Very predictable. And I loves me some 3d movies. Of course, most of the 3D movies I see are for kids when I take my daughter to see them, but it definitely enhances the experience for us. We loved seeing Alice in Wonderland in 3d. And I am really excited to see Tron in 3D I thought it was bad and it wasn't even that it was predictable because most movies are. The characters were poorly written (typical Cameron with the most cliche villain imaginable), the dialogue was cheesy, and the love story was laughable. Not to mention the fact that humans in the movie are capable of traveling across a galaxy, and create the Avatars but they lose to a bunch of natives with bows and arrows (which by the way couldn't pierce the windows when they first encounter the gunships but could later in the movie)? GTFO. And let us also not forget that despite the fact that they can cross a galaxy with ships they can't launch a missile but instead have to fly an incredibly slow flying plane to drop explosives, just absolutely ridiculous.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) Wisconsin is the best team in the Big Ten right now and it's not close. If they played Michigan State again, they would win by at least 10, IMO Ohio State would give them a game but agreed that Wisconsin would kill MSU if they played again right now.
  17. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 12:05 PM) Boise State is as good as anyone in the country in a one-game season, but when you have to play a full one, they simply aren't. There is no doubt if they played a National Championship game, they could easily win. But when you play teams that are as good as Nevada almost every week (like in a BCS conference), they would lose thrice at least. They aren't as good as anyone in a one game season. They could beat anyone on any given night but so could just about every team in the top 25. That doesn't change the fact that Boise would lose probably 7 out of 10 to a Wisconsin, LSU, Auburn, etc.
  18. Also, lol at Pat Hill (Fresno St.'s coach) who said this Boise team was better than 05 USC. GTFO
  19. Nevada's defensive coordinator should kill himself as should their DBs. Most pathetic defensive play I have seen in my entire life. Boise is a 3 or 4 loss team minimum in the SEC.
  20. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 24, 2010 -> 09:22 PM) If it came from someone other than him, it would have some validity, but OSU literally always underperforms. Who have they faced this year besides Miami who was #12 when they faced them, but now is unranked. I think TCU and BSU would wipe the floor with OSU. OSU has played home and homes with Texas, USC and now Miami in the last 5 years in addition to facing teams like Wisconsin, Iowa and up until the Rich Rod era Michigan. They take on all comers.
