  1. I'm putting the over under at 2 years until this championship is vacated
  2. Trevor Mbakwe arrested for violating a restraining order, more issues for Minnesota.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 12:42 AM) Are you 100% sure of that? He's a very good player, but there are quite a few players in the B10 that are having better seasons than him. That is factually false but I'd like to see you try to name the "quite a few players" having a better season than McCamey. There are guys that you can argue are having better seasons but there really isn't a single player having a season clearly better than McCamey. Tied for firsts in assists (2nd in assist rate), 9th in scoring (but 5th in TS%), shooting 52% from 3, over 50% from the floor.
  4. Devoe Joseph officially transferring from Minny. Their perimeter play is really weak now. Williams is a freak athlete but not a good basketball player, Nolen is awful on the offensive end of the court. Hoffarber is obviously really good. The rest of those guys are mediocre at best.
  5. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 10:08 PM) Does Illinois have more dunks than NU has FG's? I think they might... I think the fact that they only have 6 rebounds after 23 minutes is the most astounding stat in this game.
  6. Mike Davis is playing fantastic basketball the last week. He has been so active the last few games and has been contributing without his jumper falling which is just huge for this team.
  7. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 05:48 PM) He's a hero at his school, growing his legacy each game that he play (can you imagine the tail this guy gets?) He's the front runner for the Heisman next year. His team has an outside shot of winning a national title. Oh, and he enjoys school and is excited about obtaining his degree from a prestigious university. On the other hand, he can go to the NFL and earn his millions but play for a terrible team for years and years and have to deal with constant negative media scrutiny and 1000 times the pressure. Pretty easy decision for me. Take out an insurance policy. Dude's gonna make tons of money no matter what he decides. You can easily get a degree after you are done playing in the NFL or even take classes during the offseason and the quality of girls he would get as a star quarterback in the NFL with a 70+ million dollar contract are certainly higher than what he gets at Stanford if that is factoring into his decision at all. And there is no reason why Carolina would be terrible for years if Luck is as good as people think he might be. Bradford almost had his team in the playoffs this year, Manning had the Colts in the playoffs in year 2, and there are countless other examples. If you have an elite quarterback in the NFL you win games. And while you can take out an insurance policy, he won't make near the money of that policy that he would in the NFL. Now I don't have a problem with Luck staying in school because he enjoys the college lifestyle and wants to win a National Championship but it is a pretty big risk to stay at Stanford when you don't know who your coach is going to be and the ever present possibility of getting seriously injured.
  8. Jadeveon Clowney is by far the best player in the Under Armour game. Unreal
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 5, 2011 -> 12:18 AM) CHAMPS. Suck it Mallet. Andrew Luck>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ryan Mallett
  10. Also, while I posted that the Big 10 was short on playmakers at the skill positions this year what a year for the conference on the dline. Liuget, Heyward, Clayborn, Kerrigan, Watt, etc. Just a ton of top level d lineman in the conference..
  11. Boom Herron sucks at football. OSU choking badly
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 3, 2011 -> 10:52 PM) Ryan Mallet hasnt played yet. I still dont know if Luck is the #1 QB. I think Luck is #1 and it isn't particularly close. He is a very good athlete, has good size, can make all the throws and he is very accurate.
  13. Really nice win by Illinois today. The SRs played great and Brandon Paul played really well which was key since DJ had an off today and Richmond was limited by the achilles injury.
  14. Also, let me say this about the Big 10, it is incredible how unathletic the conference looked today. Very few playmakers out there in comparison to the teams they were facing.
  15. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 08:09 PM) TCU just won the Rose Bowl, I never want to hear any of you ever say that small school can't hang with the big schools ever again. That has never been my argument, I don't think you deserve a title shot playing the schedules Boise and TCU have played and I don't think Boise has the talent to play with the big boys over the course of a season. TCU might be a different story because they play in a much stronger conference than Boise, have more depth and are much more athletic top to bottom.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 08:08 PM) Tolzien played a really bad game, as he showed no field vision and didn't handle the clock well at all. He can't win you games, he is accurate and is fine when Wisconsin is running all over the field but if you need him to make plays you are in trouble.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) Happy for the Horned Frogs...taking down the team that was probably playing the best ball towards the end of the season. Hard to say though what would have happened a month ago, because of these ridiculous layoffs between the end of the regular season and the bowl games. I think Wisconsin is very good and this is not intended to take away from TCU's win but people tend to overrate how well Wisconsin was playing at the end of the year. They scored a bunch of points against Michigan, NW, and Indiana who have 3 of the worst defenses in the country.
  18. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 04:00 PM) where are the defenses, big 10? jeesh ....michigan, msu and NW couldn't stop a pee wee team Michigan and NW couldn't stop anyone all year. Illinois could have beaten NW without throwing a single pass.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 30, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) Big 12 bowl game overshadowed again by bad judgement call by refs. I hate refs so much
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2010 -> 12:14 AM) Defensively you mean? They left a lot of wide open threes and Illinois just burried them. Coming into tonight Iowa was ranked very high on 3pt % defense but clearly tonight they were awful. I think maybe 2 of those threes that Illinois hit were contested tonight and Cole hit two where there was literally no one within 10 feet of him.
  21. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 11:34 PM) Illinois got on a lucky hot streak from three, or else the game wouldn't be close -- Iowa would have blown them away. Illinois is the most overrated team I have seen this year. They simply are not good. Wisconsin, one of the most underrated teams out there, should rip them apart. Wide open 3s aren't lucky and Illinois has done that several times this year. Also, more like if Illinois doesn't have a few stupid turnovers and defensive lapses when they pushed the lead to 19 they blow Iowa away. Iowa never had a chance to win this game, not sure how Iowa could have blown them away.
  22. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 10:17 PM) How this Illinois-Iowa game is this close is beyond me. Stupid turnovers by Illinois and DMac with the matador defense.
  23. So can someone explain to me why Maryland fired Friedgen? That program was awful before he got there and he had a lot of success with only a couple of losing seasons. Granted he had an awful year last year but then he wins 9 games with a very young team this year. Does Maryland really think they can do better?
  24. Bears Oline playing very well today. Both defenses look like crap.
  25. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 12:13 AM) I wish I could have screencapped it. Looks like someone is having some fun tonight.
