I'm actually a big proponent of getting more speed into the lineup and playing more little ball. I just think that with Valentin, Olivo, Harris, and Miles in the lineup you have 4 potential holes.

This lineup would hardly be sweet. A lineup with Valentin, Miles, Harris, and Olivo has far to many question marks and holes.

For anyone else who has watched U of I football this year, is Christian Morton the worst cornerback you have ever seen. I agree with that. Beckett has been absolutely unhittable down the stretch.

I still love these deals. Obviously this season didn't go as we all hoped but those deals really gave us new life. Also, Everett is the type of player that this team needs, someone who plays hard and with heart no matter the circumstances. I'm really not all that concerned with the prospects we gave up either. Webster is years away as is Rupe and Ring is will probably be nothing more than a setup man at best. Besides we already have a left handed reliever far better than Ring in Marte.
