  1. I've always loved Jon Garland, but hated Judy Garland. He has apparently locked Judy Garland in the closet so far this year.
  2. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) Ok i'm sick of these f***ing attendance threads, i really am. -They are always started by people who never go, b****ing at some of the greatest white sox fans around, many of whom have season tickets anyway or go to games as often as possible. -Only a couple thousand people read this message board, if that. You aren't even reaching your target audience, which are the complete bandwagon, "what do to tonight" people, who may take their buddies or family or what not. -"I don't live in Chicago". Well then please, shut up already. Just because you aren't close enough to go doesn't mean you can b**** about others that are close enough to go. I don't know where you get this logic. -I'm in freakin Champaign and i'm coming up tonight for the 2nd time this year, want to b**** at me for not getting to the games enough? Sorry i've got class and other commitments all the way in CHAMPAIGN. This is probly the case for a lot of people. Stop labeling some of the best fans on here with this attendance bulls***. /end rant. First off, chill out. Second, I never said people on this board were not attending games. I said it's sad that a first place team in the city of Chicago is still getting under 20,000 fans to their home games.
  3. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) which is the main problem I have with this...I know I cannot go to that many games so I really can't call out other people who do the same There's enough people and Sox fans in the city of Chicago to call them out.
  4. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) are you going to the game? i hope so if you are making this kind of a statement Absolutely, if I lived in Chicago.
  5. Check out ESPN.com. They're calling Jon..April's best pitcher. ESPN also has the White Sox ranked number 1 in the power rankings after one month of baseball.
  6. Looks like it's going to be pretty bad. Which is sad for this team.
  7. Can we get some play by play for the people who can't see or hear the game? The Gamecast is slow as hell.
  8. I was ready to give up on Crede. I just hope he can keep his average around .270 all year.
  9. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) It's Red Foreman from "That 70's Show." Here's the radio clips from Chisox.com, if anyone's interested. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...radio/index.jsp It kind of sounds like Red Foreman, but I don't think it's him. That's a good description of the voice though.
  10. I agree, they've got to go back to last years intros! This is the first mistake I've seen Brooks Boyer make. The game is obviously the most important part, but I always enjoyed the introductions last year.
  11. Is it a half price night? If it is, the place we'll be near capacity by the 3rd inning.
  12. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) I e-mailed Brook...here is what he said... Tony, Thanks for the note. We will use Thunderstruck at our games. Since the intro is new, we are still working out some kinks. Right Now by Van Halen works in that spot because of how we are using the fireworks and we do not have to switch to a different song. Our timing is still a little off, but we will get there. Thunderstruck will not go away. Brooks Sent: Thursday, April 07, 2005 8:55 AM To: Brooks Boyer Subject: Sox Game Intro Hi Brooks. I just want to start by saying I'm a life-long sox fan and I think all your work so far with the sox is awesome. Keep it up. I had a question about the Opening Day Game Intro. How come you got rid of Thunderstruck? I always got so pumped up for the games with that. Is is because we lost Dave Wills and he was a big part of that? Also, I always enjoyed the 'Homerun through the Decades', but must say I love the new player highlights intro. Kicks butt! Anyway, best of luck. That's great, but I want it in the intros!!!!
  13. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 02:15 AM) If we send Brooks an e-mail we will get somewhere. Does anyone have his e-mail? Why did they mess with the intros this year?
  14. I know they were a little different for Opening Day. Did they go back to the Thunderstruck intros?
  15. How much trade value does he have if they're talking about starting him out on the DL?
  16. A contusion is a fancy word for bruise. I wouldn't be that worried about it.
  17. QUOTE(beck72 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) that was all Offman had from Herm. But it seems from Herm that the foot might not be fractured after all I hope this is true. I just heard about Buerhle....damn it! He's been pitching great this spring. I hope they don't rush him back if he's truly hurt.
  18. Definitely go with anything in the lower deck. Especially if it's your first time to the Cell. You can't check out the whole ballpark if you get upper deck tickets.
  19. Jabroni, I like the MVP Baseball 2006 sig.....too bad 2005 is the last EA Sports baseball game.
  20. I told you this months ago....your chance at a national title would end on Sept. 11th!!!! 28-20!!! What a fabulous day at the stadium!!!! GO IRISH!!!!
  21. I guess I could make one myself...just being lazy!
  22. I'll take Contreras. Loaiza has had one good year in his major league career. Also, the Sox likely had little chance of signing him for the kind of money he will attempt to command. Contreras has better stuff, and he's signed for the next couple of seasons.
  23. He already made 2 trades...think before you post.
  24. Actually...Neal Cotts and Mike Jackson should go before Gload.
