Jeebus H. Christpunchers. Sweet merciful goddamn, I always thought Corg was a dick and I waded my way through some of all that posting. I've only met a handful of Soxtalk posters in person [AsshatSoxFan, CrimsonWeltall, DonkeyKongerko, RPS, JoeBatters and Heather] and can say that for the most part, they've been positive. I wish I could get out to the Cell for more games and more tailgating to meet more people (the photos look like it's lots of fun and the story Ian told me last summer made it sound very amusing) Anyway, I digress. Steff's always been pretty solid with her White Sox info and I've never gotten in a fight with her nor do I really know a damn thing about her other than she's a Sox fan. Congrats for Quickman calling out Corg and I'm still shocked that HSC was such a b**** to Steff when Steff didn't do a damn thing wrong in the thread. All this exposing is getting crazy...I feel a little weird now just being a relatively normal college student that nobody has any real dirt on.

Shudder not! No Gload in the lineup tonight... Timo Perez - RF Aaron Rowand - CF Magglio Ordonez - DH Carlos Lee - LF Jose Valentin - SS Paul Konerko - 1B Joe Crede - 3B Sandy Alomar Jr. - C Willie Harris - 2B It's nice to see Willie get a spot in the lineup to keep him focused on 2B and get some at bats in. Let's go White Sox!

You're surprised that politicians are idiots? There's a scene in F 9/11 where he interviews a Congressman, I believe it's Tom Daschle who says "You don't believe we actually read this legislation, do you?" Funny, I found the 3 preceding paragraphs in the article as amusing: "Riordan, a venture capitalist who started a foundation supporting literacy, has a reputation for awkward — some might say insensitive — remarks and behavior. As mayor, he once greeted hunger strikers outside his office eating a hamburger. In a speech to school administrators earlier this year, he told a story about a nun physically disciplining a student that startled some in the audience. "There wasn't an uproar, but some people felt the comment was inappropriate," said Joseph Jones, assistant executive director of the Association of California School Administrators." They're all jackasses.

Definitely NOT a family friend. We all thought the guy was a douche. He told us when the funeral would be and the time and everything. Gave me and my brother dirty looks the entire service too. I laughed my ass off that he finally got busted for his crimes.

SS2K4, that's the priest that did my grandma's funeral. There were suspicions that he was skimming money but they couldn't prove it for a long time.

I'm not sure about all states but I know in some states, if you voted in the primaries, you are unable to sign a petition for a candidate. So he could only get people that didn't vote in the primary. http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=04/07/07/1354230 That's a transcript of a show with Amy Goodman and her guest, Ralph Nader. Nader details a lot of what he you heard on the news, MrEye. I personally don't like Nader and really feel he should be helping to cement the Green party as an established 3rd party. I had no problem getting signatures for both the Greens and the Libertarians to get Senate, Presidential and VP candidates on the ballot for IL without Dems/GOP saying they wouldn't sign to keep them off the ballot. But that's just me in a highly limited sample. It wouldn't surprise me though if there were some people who are trying to subvert Nader's campaign for saying that he cost Gore the 2000 election. Firstly, DBT Choicepoint and Katherine Harris cost Gore the election removing 57,000+ legal voters from the voter rolls in FL. Secondly, people do not owe their votes to either party. It is up to the party and the candidate to tailor their platforms in order to earn peoples' votes (I know, a really novel idea, haha). The idea that Nader "stole" the election in 2000 is putting the blame where it does not belong as the parties that deserve the blame are detailed above in this paragraph.

I live 5 minutes from the race track. So my hometown gets flooded with people buying up beer (which is nice because they leave the good stuff like Bass, Guinness and Pilsner Urquell and take Milwaukee's Best and other piss) and holding me hostage for the weekend since they shut down roads and it is impossible to leave due to traffic/shut down roads. Needless to say, I don't like the races all that much.

I saw this story on the antiwar.com news wire (one of the best news wires for anything regarding the war on terror, Israel/Palestine etc.) This is from the libertarians over at antiwar.com: http://www.antiwar.com/blog/index.php?id=P1121 In yet another demonstration of journalistic malpractice, this announcement from the US Department of Energy is reported by the AP with no analysis or background information: Washington (AP) - In a secret operation, the United States last month removed from Iraq nearly two tons of uranium and hundreds of highly radioactive items that could have been used in a so-called dirty bomb, the Energy Department disclosed Tuesday. The nuclear material was secured from Iraq's former nuclear research facility and airlifted out of the country to an undisclosed Energy Department laboratory for further analysis, the department said in a statement. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham described the previously undisclosed operation, which was concluded June 23, as "a major achievement" in an attempt to "keep potentially dangerous nuclear material out of the hands of terrorists." I'm sure Spencer would prefer we not dredge up this story from the May 22 NY Times, but that's just too damn bad: U.S. considering moving 500 tons of uranium from Iraq VIENNA – The United States has informed an international agency that oversees nuclear materials that it intends to move hundreds of tons of uranium from a sealed repository south of Baghdad to a more secure location outside Iraq, Western diplomats close to the agency say. However, the International Atomic Energy Agency has taken the position that the uranium is Iraqi property and the agency "cannot give them permission to remove it," a diplomat said. The diplomat said the United States was highly unlikely to be deterred by that position and that U.S. officials had contacted the agency on the matter this year, before the Iraq insurgency flared last month. Wow, Spencie, what a "major achievement!" You moved less than two tons of uranium out of Iraq - just enough to get a headline about "uranium" associated with Iraq, further confusing The Clueless Bush Base, which thinks anything radioactive is WMD - so there are only 498 tons left. Let us know when you get the rest out, OK? Then the Iraqis can charge us for stealing their uranium. And, about that remaining uranium which was looted because you guys failed to guard it, has it been secured or is it still being trucked out of Iraq? From April 16: Iraq's nuclear facilities remain unguarded, and radioactive materials are being taken out of the country, the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog agency reported after reviewing satellite images and equipment that has turned up in European scrapyards. [...] According to ElBaradei's letter, satellite imagery shows "extensive removal of equipment and in some instances, removal of entire buildings," in Iraq. Oh, well, the Occupation has only had a year or so to secure those sites, so it's good to see that they're finally getting around to it and just in time to keep "terrorists" from making a dirty bomb out of all that radioactive stuff laying around in Iraq! The whole world just got a little safer after Spencer's major achievement.

They're most all insane. There were a few good Congressmen like Paul Wellstone (RIP), Pon Paul...There some that aren't already purchased and sold. I know not a lot of people here like Michael Moore but has has an absolutely hilarious bit in his TV show "The Awful Truth" where he hires a pimp to go to the GOP Committee and the Dem Committee and demands that he get a share of campaign contributions to candidates from companies and the such. Really when you think about it, the company is a John who gives money to the ho in return for a trick. That's really what so much of Congress is. It gets amusing when the pimp calls Congressmen a "bunch of ho's" and asks them to put on stilletto heels. And one more for you Kap, he was behind putting Kissenger in as chairman of the 9/11 commission. Then he turned around and decided to not install him.

The White Sox and Seattle not done dealing?

But what if, as has been said before on this board, he cheats for the Twins? -
That all depends if Edwards knows how to spell potato.

1549, re: Catholics in the Holocaust making deals there is a book, I believe the title is "Hitler's Pope" (can't remember the author) that details a lot.

It just pissed me off in today's game when Chip "I'm a moron with my head stuck up my ass" Caray started spouting stuff like "Clement pitched just as well as Sheets." Except Sheets didn't give up 6 BB like Clement did. God I hate Chip. He just needs to choke on an apple or something... But Ben Sheets was overpowering today. He made Sosa look foolish (even a bigger fool than he already is) and kept that Cub lineup off balance all day, even though they did not have Aramis Ramirez or Alou playing. Here's hoping Santos can own the Cubs like Sheets did today.

Coach K says no to Lakers

I think the only thing that one can ask is...."Is this going to mean that ESPN is done slobbering all over this damn story now?" -
Socialist candidate was #3 with 88% similarity.

The difference is that churches have tax exempt status which keeps them from overtly getting involved in politics. That's the caveat. They are more than welcome to get involved in politics, but give up the non-partisan tax exempt status. As Michael Moore said when he spoke at our campus before Bowling for Columbine came out on his "Stupid White Men..." book tour: Both parties are filled with asshats that make me wanna stick my head in an oven

2. Nader, Ralph - Independent (92%) 6. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (61%) 10. Bush, President George W. - Republican (9%) Too bad Nader is a douche that is splitting the Greens for his own personal gain instead of supporting Cobb (even though the Green VP said she may vote Kerry if her state ends up being a swing state)

IIRC, she gave the affidavit to Flynt in 1998 when Flynt began to amass his campaign against hypocritical Congressmen. He was exposing the ones that were bashing Clinton for having affairs when they were doing so themselves. He did get quite a few of them (Livingston, Barr and a few others I can't remember the names of) He had taken out a full page ad in the Washington Post saying they would pay a million dollars to anybody who had documented evidence that would expose a hypocritical Congressman. When Bush took power in 2000, she asked him to keep her name private for legitimate fears for her life. Flynt's been right about most everything he's gotten his smut peddling hands on when it comes to exposing politicians. You can say a lot about Flynt, but he's pretty damn solid evidence wise when he exposes something.

I don't mean to sound mean but Crede is definitely reminding me of Royce "The Choice" Clayton when I've seen Crede bat. Sure he's had some clutch hits (a broken clock is right twice a day) but so did the Choice when he wasn't K'ing. I agree with Brando that his swing is horrendous and it's brutal to watch at times. We need a more solid 3B because, even though his defense is pretty damn good, his bat is lacking a lot.

I watched this today on ESPN. This guy was amazing. Kobayashi is thin as a rail and an absolute beast. He smoked the 2nd place person in this. Then they interviewed a bunch of Americans talking about how they were "going to win the belt back for America next year".

He should be back sometime soon into the lineup...it's just about been 4 weeks now. So he should be back relatively soon. -
As my dad told me before, the Cubs can't let anybody down without building them up first.

Damn skippy...And the next game we have is against Lackey on whom we've teed off this year. We get Magglio and Thomas back in the lineup...our pitching is damn strong... The Cubs, f*** 'em. They're still chasing the Cards and will be lucky to make the Wild Card with all the competition that is going on there. We've got Garcia on the bump against Lackey for the next game. It's time for celebration. We're in 1st. How many people thought that was possible after we lost Magglio? Half of the season left...and plenty of time for us to build a lead in the AL Central and same for the Cards in the NL Central. f*** the Cubs. We're here. We're in 1st and we're gonna kick some ass and take some names. Long live the DH! -
