  1. It look like Rodney Dangerfield's Regular Guy fashion show
  2. the petting zoo at the park can't be far behind
  3. He was already on the list after his out of gas game
  4. The contract always ends up setting the expectations
  5. Whenever Ozzie did something crazy we always accepted it as taking the pressure off the young team. I'll just treat Tony the same way. The players probably laugh about it
  6. I fear them on a game to game basis. There was no game in this series I thought was an automatic win. However, I don't fear that they will be in it over the long haul
  7. I read on another site the mlbtv people were indicating that Yermin acknowleged that he did see the take sign.
  8. the ricketts' made lakeview look like arlington heights maybe the sox can make arlington heights look like bridgeport
  9. looks strong enough to finish the game, although I wouldn't suggest it with 2,3,4 up next inning
  10. If Tony had framed this as Mercedes being openly insubordinate by knowingly disobeying a take sign, I think he wins the discussion. That isn't an unwritten rule of baseball. That is a (usually) written rule of every workplace. Yermin has already had some trouble following basic rules this year when given his one shot. It was such an odd way to present it, as a disrespect to the game.
  11. Tony isn't going to feed Yermin's kids when he stops swinging
  12. The goal of the game for both teams in that situation is to finish the game as quickly as possible. Swinging at pitches is more likely to result in outs than not swinging at pitches, thus ending the game more quickly. What is the logic in not swinging?
  13. Don't forget to add Collins into the discussion. There were people who thought he couldn't even play at the MLB level six months ago. He has shown himself to be a competent defensive catcher with some valuable attributes as a hitter
  14. JR isn't listening and hasn't listened for 40 years.
  15. Don't use the word hamstring around the white sox
  16. I couldn't watch the game. Did Hendrick's running have any impact on the outcome?
  17. I wonder if Ben Zobrist has kept himself in baseball shape?
  18. you are being kind to limit it to "most of us"
  19. Collins has a better OPS than Vaughn at the time of Eloy's return. Both are good
  20. Joc Pederson will be available when the Cubs tank in April
  21. Wouldn't that be something if he ends up good enough there that Vaughn is the LF of the future and Eloy is the DH
  22. only thing more depressing than talking about the white sox of the last decade is talking about the bulls
  23. I was looking to get a hat from the early 1900s featuring the logo with the big S and the o and x in the loop of the S. I can't seem to find vintage fitted white sox hats on line anywhere. Any leads would be appreciated.
