I honestly think I'd pick B... Gonzalez shouldn't net Madrigal or Kelley.. And those 3 for Burnes, likely is fair, but it's an awfully high price to pay for a guy with no track record. I'd be wary and pass. Now if you can work around giving Kelley, and instead Stiever or a different HS pitcher, go for it.

Richards hasn't pitched more than 70ish in a season since 2015 (1 time). Hamels - 4 times. Walker - 3 times. Paxton - 4 times. HELL, Rich Hill - 3 times. So yes, these pitchers obviously are also injury prone... Richards just can't throw anymore without dying. They are not the same.

I hope they just sign a SP rather than trade 2 MLB guys (Madrigal, Heuer) and a super high ceiling SP (Kelley). Just give me someone. Paxton? Hamels? Walker? Fine with all of them... Even Richards I guess...

gosh we are missing everyone (I'm not mad, because we have been active).. But jeeeezus we are gunna be stuck with Cahill and Collins.. Both will require trading prospects at the deadline.. grrrr

I am warming up to a Hamels signing. Obviously not first on my list.. But definitely above Richards. I can't believe he's so highly regarded here.

My guess is we will want Vaughn more than Abreu in 2 years. In which case, if Abreu wants to keep playing, it'll have to be elsewhere.

I agree hes such a great fit. But for Burnes I'm happy with it. I realllllly don't want to trade Kelley. He screams young stud to me.
