If you're trading Hendriks AND taking on the terrible McCann contract you have to get Alvarez or Baty.. None of their other prospects are worth a 1v1 let alone taking on MCCann. Hendriks alone will get you a top 100 if not top 50. If you're taking on money, you're getting a way better prospect.

Not sure why acquiring another catcher makes sense for us though. Unless we have a suitor for a grandal dump

I love McNeil as a player, but it's another low-power guy. He'd have made a ton of sense if our OF free choice was someone with more power (Conforto, Bellinger, gallo). IDK how I'd feel with ANOTHER ~15 homer guy, given we have most our positions filled with guys like that

I'm fine running 2B with the young guys. If Duvall was 6-8 million, and we were able to dump Kelly's 9. Spending that on Duvall and then the remainder on a BP guy would be a much better use of resources than just keeping Kelly.
