You should absolutely get a really good prospect back in a "salary dump" still for Hendriks. Baty is a reasonable ask for Hendriks alone. Many top closers have gone for far more than a Bret Baty type prospect (1/2 year of chapman for #3 prospect Torres), (Diaz for Kelenic) I'm sure theres more but those 2 are off the top of my head.

One of their top 2 prospects are the only prospects that make any sense in a deal. OR I guess they can target McNeil

Or you turn Moncada into an everyday player swiss army knife. Similar to Bryant with the Cubs. Primary 2B, but will play 3B 1-2 a week plus give him an OF glove, and hell, give him a 1B glove. lol.. All in all, I wouldn't cement Moncada, the type of player he is, into the 3B hole IF I can get a prospect like Baty.

He can't hit and he can't stay healthy. He's good at defense though. Those all combined don't cement you into a position imo.

Yeah I move Moncada. I prefer a Baty deal than McNeil as McNeil is another no-power guy with a roster full of them. Moncada's bat doesn't play at 3B, it would play much better at 2B. Maybe he will be better defensively at 2B than he was when he first came up.

You move Moncada. He's to the point where he shouldn't be cemented into a position.

McNeil and Baty make a lot of sense. I'd rather try to figure out a Baty deal but no way you trade Hendriks without getting one of those guys (especially if you have to (want to) take on McCann.
