That Charlotte roster is something else...

As best I can tell it's 4 prospects, and the rest organizational minor leaguers. The entire staff consists of org. guys, except perhaps a couple of bullpen guys who are closing in on org. status.

Telvin Nash with the Dash is a strange situation. 3rd round pick, released by a couple of teams; rarely has had an OPS below .800 in any minor league level. Walks a lot with decent power. BUT....he strikes out in 41% of his at bats.

Collins not playing for AZL WS. Promoted?

Alec Hansen, 2 IP so far, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K.

EDIT: 2 more Ks for a perfect 3rd. 3 IP, 1 BB, 6 K.

Edited by ChiliIrishHammock24

Through 1 inning, Booker has 2 SB. Now has 9 SB, 0 CS on the year. Hitting .362 in AZL.

Collins in SD at ASG

Hansen's night is done. 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K.

On the season so far....

7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 11 K.

That's very encouraging

OMG. Luis Curbelo with a GORGEOUS swing connected to send one over the fence in LCF. The kind you hear and don't have to see. Gone. 6-3 Sox

Loving this draft so far.

Probably more excited about Hansen than Burdi or Collins.

Man, if we could get 2015 Hansen that would be huge for this system

Eddy Alvarez with a 2-4, HR, 2B night to up his average to .244

Hell yea. What's his line since he snapped outa the funk?

If we can find 2015 Hansen, that is the Sox finding the #1 draft pick in the 2nd round.

I'd imagine Hansen will be in Kanny soon

Since June 1st (31 games): .327/.397/.509, 5 HR (!!), 13 BB, 20 K in 134 PA. And his BABIP is .354, which isn't aberrantly high for a speed guy like him. I'd say he's got it dialed in now.

Kim Contreras said that his numbers are better than his stuff right now and that the level of competition in the AZL is poor. I would think he will be in Kanny soon as well.

Here is video of the HR that Kim was gushing over....

Wish the video would have stuck with the ball, but that ball was absolutely smoked.

This is why I keep gushing about that pick. A few years ago looking at Rodon, Fulmer and Hansen in three straight drafts would have seemed damn near improbably for where the Sox picked.
