They've been trying that.

yeah...but it seems that Eaton really didn't get to the peak of his value than this year. Nobody really knew who was gonna show up. This version of Adam Eaton is an All-Star and he just seems to get better and better. And like a broken record...unless you get an obscene haul for Sale or Q...you don't trade them. Trading Eaton at any time is a ridiculous thought...

11th game this year the Sox won when trailing in the 7th inning or later.

Great win tonight. Fun to watch

I miss the 00's version of the Sox. A bloop and a blast

Robertson has somehow managed to more than double his walk ratio from last year...

Fwiw, the first EIGHT (8) hitters in the CLE lineup tonight had 800+ OPS figures on the season.

The White Sox have ONE (Justin Morneau), unless you include Omar Narvaez.

Has anyone noticed that greg is obsessed with Anderson's walk totals? Or have I slipped it by everybody?

Nice work by the bullpen tonight...kept the team in striking distance.

They did a good job last night as well.

I'm impressed with Turner...he may have been the most abysmal starting pitcher I've ever seen, but he is respectable in the pen.

Unless you can find another GM who values him (appropriately) as a Top 8-10 MLB outfielder.

How likely is he to repeat that (he's been a little bit up and down, year to year, in his career and within seasons)?

Is he MORE likely to repeat that performance as long as he remains in RF, his most comfortable position?

Otoh, he's clearly their most valuable overall performer this season. You take him away, that leaves Cabrera and Frazier (both gone after next year) and Abreu. Other than that, the only remaining player you can project as being above average (at least WAR-wise, at his position) is undoubtedly Tim Anderson.

Glad to see Anderson draw another walk. As well as rip a home run. He's drawing walks once in a while now which is nice.

In case you missed it(and I wouldn't blame you for doing so): Anderson's Moon Shot

5th time this year the Sox scored 10+ runs in a game.

Wow. He had a helluva game with that play up the middle as well. He's a fine prospect it appears.

Wednesday marked the first time Tim Anderson walked in back to back games in his big-league career.

also three walks in the last four games.

In terms of long term impact and development, im more excited about those walks from Anderson than if they were hits. He has gotten a lot of 3 ball counts during his time, but showing the ability to lay off and take ball 4 portends well....gotta throw him a strike to get him out.

If he is swinging at strikes, his walk total doesn't really matter. But I do agree he does get a lot of ball 3 counts. He has gone out of the zone many times after that. I think with time he will walk more. Never a lot, but something more normal.

One odd stat on Anderson is only Abreu and Melky have grounded into more DP. And if you did it per plate appearance, Anderson would lead the team.
