Sale sucks today

So are the Phillies

please just limit his pitches. Insane they have him throwing so many pitches in pointless games.

Is his velocity down? Getting hit around early. I also have repeatedly said in these game threads he's getting way overused in these pointless games. The time to let him go 115+ pitches was in April/May/June when there was still a chance.

It seems like Sale loses focus/intensity against poor teams. It's becoming a trend at this point.

Pitching has collapsed of late. Fire everyone

RIP Cy Young. Not that he was likely to win, but this is the final nail in the coffin.

Yep. 32 starts, 230 innings, and an ERA under 3 would have looked good, but that's done now.

Who the F is Tommy Joseph? He sounds made up.

When he was going real good folks griped when he came out after 100 or so pitches. Pitch count means nothing. Sale wants to stay in the game and has said as much. I am not buying pitch counts or meaningless games. They all have the Winter to recoup

Done awhile ago. I think Boston has the cy young man

Starters have packed it in for 2016 the last week.

Didn't even realize the game started, but I see Sale doesn't even want to try to win a Cy Young award. He saw that Bovada made him the favorite and immediately s*** the bed. Fun season.

keep losing boys.

Eaton didn't even both sliding to stop the run from scoring/runner getting to 3rd. I see choking away the Cy Young is a collective effort tonight.

Chris Sale not backing up the throw to third. What is this little league? C'mon.

Agreed.

Chris for Sale tonight.

If Porcello had a bad start where his ERA went up, Britton blew a big game, and Sale ended up with an ERA under 3, he was alive for the award going into this game. Not now though.

Sale reached his career high in innings tonight.

He would have to throw 17 innings with no earned runs to get his ERA to 2.99.

I still can't believe you think he has a chance at this point.

One of those games where nothing positive happened really. It will be interesting to see what the next hitting coach does with Anderson.

9-11 interleague record. Not good.

Another 80+ loss season.
