Weekend Plans Thread

Featured Replies

I am not doing anything this weekend but I have gotten a lot of good ideas of places to go and restaurants to try from you guys over the years.

What are ya doing this weekend?

Any good eats in your future?

Taking a road trip?

Going to a festival? Concert? Play?

Got a date with Luke Cage and some Bud Light's tonight. Surprise 30th birthday party for one of the girl's I hang out with tomorrow. And Kickball games and watching football on Sunday.

Exciting stuff or something.

This is a quiet weekend. High School football tonight, no other plans for the rest of it.

Parents are taking the kids Saturday night so we can celebrate my birthday. Been on a oyster kick recently, so might try GT FIsh & Oyster Saturday night, then going to the Bears game Sunday.

Pleasure myself, weep, sleep, repeat.

GTF is amazing, so is their new place GT prime.

Went to see Airbourne at Bottom Lounge last night. They were excellent. If AC/DC were kids again they'd be Airbourne.

Taking the kid to get some goat tacos tonight and maybe bowling.

Going to the Sox game on Sunday - haven't been to a game this year and couldn't pass up 8 dollar seats on StubHub (7 rows off the field).

They had oysters from new Zealand that no other place has, they were incredible. The other food was great too, but damn those small plates add up on your bill quickly.

I hope to catch the Norman Lewis exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center tomorrow but if we dont head into the city we will probably go out and eat some mexican food and rent movies later. Not a bad alternative.

Standard weekend of a kids birthday party and a playdate during the day. Then watch my wife go crazy over the Cubs at night Saturday and Sunday, if necessary. Exciting!

Sunday is the last game of the season for fall kickball, sad times. Besides that, this is the first weekend in I don't know how long that I actually have nothing planned...it's awful.

This has been my Saturday 4 out of the last 5 weekends. I finally said enough. So i'm sitting on my ass all weekend to watch football, drink beer and smoke some pork butt in the smoker.

Yeah, with the new gig running the website for my high school's athletic dept, it has been a crazy fall. Finally an off weekend as most everything is over.

Wife and I are going to Vegas Wednesday thru Sunday, 80% because we want to flee Chicago for Cubs home games.

I thought about that but I know for a fact it'll at least be less prevalent than here. In any case I can avoid the sports books.

We'll see how it goes and learn from it for next time.

BTW the last time I was in Vegas, the Sox signed Adam LaRoche, so let's hope for some equally good luck this time.

Had a wedding yesterday at guaranteed rate filed in the club area. Nice venue and was cool with all the six history stuff they have there but you couldn't go into the stadium/field area itself (besides the wedding party for photos). Didn't really expect us to be able to do that but would've been awesome. Still it was a great venue and had a really fun night.

My fathers memorial service was this past Saturday, and it was a beautiful day for it. Once again, everyone that sent me messages and posts, thank you very much i appreciate it.
