October 8, 20169 yr QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 8, 2016 -> 03:56 AM) My Facebook feed looks as if the cubs just won the WS. Calm down assholes. To be fair a portion of those posts are people watching their first game ever tonight. Remember last year when Cubs fans say they rooted their whole life to make it to the NLCS

October 8, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 10:59 PM) To be fair a portion of those posts are people watching their first game ever tonight. Remember last year when Cubs fans say they rooted their whole life to make it to the NLCS This series is far from over. Obviously tomorrow is basically a must win for the Giants but Hendricks is due for a stinker and just have to hope Shark is sharp.
October 8, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 11:02 PM) 20 hits in 5 games at Wrigley for the Giants I'm expecting that to change tomorrow, though Hendricks has been great at home this season.
October 8, 20169 yr I still don't understand how Posey didn't score in the 4th inning. There were 2 outs, run!!!
October 8, 20169 yr QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 10:57 PM) Brutal call and literally cost them the game. Well hopefully that will bias the umps toward the Giants for the remainder of the series.
October 8, 20169 yr QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 8, 2016 -> 05:05 AM) Well hopefully that will bias the umps toward the Giants for the remainder of the series. Isn't that same idiot at 1b the home plate ump tomorrow?
October 8, 20169 yr I really needed the Giants to win last night.....if only so then i wouldn't feel bad about wanting the Cubs to beat the hell out of Samardzija tonight
October 8, 20169 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 11:04 PM) I still don't understand how Posey didn't score in the 4th inning. There were 2 outs, run!!! Slow catcher with a history of leg injuries.
October 8, 20169 yr It was a good game. Cueto made one mistake and sometimes that's all it takes in the postseason. Not sure why Shark is starting tonight in a must win game.
October 8, 20169 yr I saw a guy with a giants Jersey on the blue line. Gave him a thumbs up and I hoped they kick cubs ass. He laughed and he shook my hand.
October 8, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 08:45 PM) Not sure what stats say, but the Giants easily have the worst lineup of the 8 playoff teams Would look a lot better with Span, Nunez, and Panik in. 2 guys sat due to a lefty on the mound (dumb) and one guy is injured. Edit: actually, Tomlinson had a good year in a backup role. Makes sense he'd get in against a lefty. Gillaspie and Hernandez however should be on the bench. Edited October 8, 20169 yr by soxfan2014
October 8, 20169 yr Cubs game rocked. Love seeing the bitter sox fans here (it's quite sad actually). Should calm down and remember our sox fans during the 2005 run. It always seems like our players are the good ones, but standing back from a far, way to go Baez! Stare that s*** down! Still I kindaaaa want to see the Giants win it all just for the even year thing going on, but wouldn't mind the Cubs . Tonight is a critically important game. Cubs go up 2-0 and this series is all but over. Giants steal one here and the series momentum slightly swings to the Giants going home with Bumgarner. Unfortunately, the Giants have the Shark going. What an intense matchup, playoff baseball is great and I love being 0.2 miles away from Wrigley!

This post doesn't sound nearly as confident as the prior post. Hedging? Edited October 8, 20169 yr by JUSTgottaBELIEVE
October 8, 20169 yr Apparently I wasn't the only one that found Baez's home run stare down last night annoying https://www.sportingnews.com/amp/mlb/news/m...2?client=safari
October 8, 20169 yr Giants simply need to return the favor. Curtain calls are as lame as the Cubs are.

It's okay to be sad, but this thread is pretty pathetic. Jesus. Anybody in the Cubs infield would be the best non-pitcher on our team. Edited October 9, 20169 yr by Deadpool
