October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) Grandal is getting thrown at next AB. What did he do? I missed it. Stare it down?

October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 08:45 PM) Bat drop and stared. Cubs do that all the time...even when the ball doesn't go out.
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 08:48 PM) cubs can do it because they are the cubs I bet money jake throws at him. I hope they do and put the guy on base who was 0-16 before the homer.
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 08:48 PM) cubs can do it because they are the cubs I bet money jake throws at him. That would be a dumb thing to do in a playoff game that they're currently losing.
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 08:56 PM) That would be a dumb thing to do in a playoff game that they're currently losing. Exactly. Other than the homer, Grandal has been awful. Why put him on?
October 19, 20169 yr jake is petty, he's done that s*** before. remember the wild card game last year?
October 19, 20169 yr Now it makes the decision with going Maeda or Kershaw for Game 5 even more interesting...it feels like you have to go for the jugular with Kershaw, but the Cubs win that game and the Dodgers are back in trouble. That said, Hill is a nice back-up option to have behind Clayton. This also takes a ton of pressure off Urias, and puts it squarely on the Cubs' LH hitters in a nearly must-win Game 4. You pitch him 5 so you have him for 7 too.
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:10 PM) So is Arrieta still an ace? He's been pretty mediocre for five months now. Not sure. All I know is the timing of his downfall was rather suspicious. https://mobile.twitter.com/DOBrienAJC/statu...%7Ctwgr%5Etweet
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:19 PM) You pitch him 5 so you have him for 7 too. Yeah, you could use Kershaw with a pitch count and Urias in long relief in Game 5.
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:26 PM) Yeah, you could use Kershaw with a pitch count and Urias in long relief in Game 5. Urias is starting tomorrow.

How about dodgers win this game first
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) How about dodgers win this game first yep never ever count out the cubs.
October 19, 20169 yr QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) Something is wronggg with Jake, no way he is an Ace. Stricter testing?
