No White Sox in the bottom 10, obviously. Royals ranked #26, Tigers at #24. Diamondbacks at #30.

Damn they are going to meter the release of this over 10 days and put it behind a paywall, could ESPN be any more out of touch?

Sure is nice to finally see that.

Law had the Sox at 12 or 15 - something like that - 2 years ago.

We went backwards the next year, per his rankings

He likes Hahn.

I would imagine that the Sox will be in the 6-10 range on Law's rankings.

6-10 sounds about right at this point, a dramatic improvement from a few months ago

A Quintana deal would likely put us firmly #1-3 overall

Wow, very strange to see Cubs/Boston/Astros out of top ten (even if you know why). Interested to hear what Law has to say about Jiminez and Happ, Fangraphs has been so high on Jiminez' power that I would have thought those two would pull the ship higher.

It obviously leaves: Braves, Yankees, Pirates, White Sox, Reds, Brewers, Rockies, Padres, Mets, and Dodgers in the top 10.

I have to check out the Reds again, I didn't realize they were doing better than a team like the Phillies.

I think we would easily be #1 after a Quintana trade.

Especially if we dealt with one of the teams ahead of us.

10.) Mets

9.) Reds

8.) Padres

7.) Brewers

6.) Rockies

5.) Pirates

4.) Yankees

3.) White Sox

2.) Dodgers

1.) Braves

My novice, bulls***ting thoughts on the remaining ten teams. No idea how Law can have the Mets in top ten. I know he likes Dom Smith and Amed Rosario but jeez.

I bet he has:

10. Mets

9. Reds

8. Rockies

7. Dodgers

6. Padres

5. Brewers

4. White Sox

3. Pirates

2. Yankees

1. Braves

I'd go

1) Braves

2) Yankees

3) Brewers

4) White Sox

5) Padres

6) Pirates

7) Dodgers

8) Rockies

9) Reds

10) Mets

I would guess the Sox are #4 or #5. Behind the Braves, Dodgers, Yankees, and then MAYBE behind the Brewers or Pirates.

I cant imagine the Sox being behind the Pirates. They aren't much better off than the Sox with depth and I would take the Sox top 7 over Pittsburgh's.

Number 10

Little depth beyond top 8.

Sox prospects generally had bad years last year.

Which again stresses point- Sox have to do better with their own drafting, developing and signing internationally for this to work.

Padres number 3- quite a recovery after Preller's first year clown show.

I'm shocked but also not? He has definitely said Lopez and Fulmer are relievers and Collins can't catch so it makes sense from his perspective.

Having not read it, it makes sense if you value depth as a main determining factor. Braves, Padres, Yankees. These are farms that are like 30 deep with players with reasonable paths to major leagues. White sox highs are among the highest right now, but after Moncada/Giolito/Lopez graduate, is it a top 15 farm? I can see his reasoning even if it's surprising.

Hahn helped a little bit with the Tatis/Shields swap.

Oh Keith Law feels that two highly talented pitchers the White Sox have are relievers, huh? Well that doesn't sound familiar at all.

Seriously not even going on the f*** keith law rant, but his view of the sox system is completely half empty, in half years time we're going to look back at the '16 draft like the red sox did on their '11 draft and comments with regards to Collins not being able to stay at catcher are a joke too we heard that time and time again with flowers.

the sox get a lot of s*** with regards to position player development but rather recently they've shown they can develop catchers that stay behind the dish, Flowers, Stewart and Phegley all come to mind and the book is still out on Omar Narvaez.

I'm not saying the sox system is #1 at this current juncture but I am saying that by the deadline and likely after the Q trade there will be no doubt its number one and by a few orders over the likes of the braves and yankees.
