He can't seem to recognize the slider. He can still be a good 4th or 5th outfielder, which is pretty solid for a 19th rounder (I believe...top of my head).

 

 

Shields' lower arm angle seems to help his cause. Nice to see he's actually trying to adapt.

 

Also, ever since Timmy started standing more upright he's been crushing the ball.

I can't tell you why...I know he isn't very good....but I like Big Pelf. Seems like a good dude.

Lucky for Delmonico that he hit that with no outs so he has time to catch his breath.

So, a halfway decent start to the career of Nicky Delmonico, or what?

Let's hope Delmonico lasts longer than Trayce as a legit everyday player...both got off to amazing starts compared to their career minor league profiles.
