Well s***. I purposely did not watch because it seems like when I did watch, the cubs won. Now I must respect the win and hopefully the inevitable Dodger win streak. I'll continue to not watch in hopes it brings the Dodgers good luck. Go Dodgers!

What is it with people calling the call at home plate an "athletic play"? Darling said it. Maddon said it in the postgame interview. The guys on the postgame show are saying it. Are people really that surprised Kyle Schwarber can charge a ball and make a good throw or something?

I don't get it either. I mean, aren't outfielders supposed to be able to charge the ball and make a good throw? I think this play was far less athletic than the play against the Nat's earlier this week when the Schwab showed off his soccer skills.

I think Ron Darling's absolute slurpfest with the Cubs is becoming the narrative for some reason. He has said twice in the Nats series that Baez made a play that no other 2B in baseball makes. And then he caught himself saying that Contreras made "The most athletic of plays by a catcher". And yet, Cubs fans swear that the TBS booth is anti-Cub, just like they thought Joe Buck was anti-Cub last World Series.

You really don't appreciate what you have until it's gone. Seeing Sale in the playoffs did nothing for me, but I get so into these Quintana starts, I root for him so much to pitch awesome, even while rooting against the Cubs.
