That was a pretty good bit of hitting by Correa. That ball was above the letters and he still drove it to CF.

True but easy to do against mediocre velocity

Some people aren't prepared for this shit LOL. I knew it could get bad.  I'm all in for the struggle, as longs as we start to see some success with these young kids once they're here.   I'd say t

Hopefully this a dead arm period that usually happens in spring training, but since they go easy in ST, it’s happening now.

Someone want to wake up Cooper

No command, no velocity.  WTF dude.  He looks like James fucking Shields.

Might need to go back to AAA to work on things

My god this team is dumb. Avi didn't think he would be running.

If you took somebody who didn't know any background on our pitchers and had them watch this season, they'd be much higher on Fulmer than Giolito.

Garcia took forever to get rid of that ball...

what is there to work on?  he's not a prospect or a MLB caliber pitcher with this stuff.  Might as well shut him down and evaluate him if this is what he's working with.

Great start...uggh

How many dumb or lethargic plays can a team have under a manager before people stop treating him like god's gift to managing

Entire team is asleep in the field and I really don't blame them.  It's so hard to keep sharp with pitching this bad.  Especially in this weather.

Perhaps, Giolito just isn't a major league caliber pitcher.

He's lucky he has an out, honestly.

I just don’t get it. What the hell happened from Arizona to Chicago?

Mechanics are a mess, but now beginning to worry about injury. He has no zip on anything

Moving Moncada down in the lineup is the cherry on top of this lazy, boring, & most importantly bad team managed by this dope

When’s the last game that Giolito actually threw 95-98 for the Nationals in the majors or minors?

48 degrees = “this weather?” Ugh just stop. Here’s to hoping every postseason game he pitches for the team in 2020 and on is in a dome or a warm weather city.

Anyone else assume when Wellington pointed at the plate that no one was standing there?

It's vs a tough LHP. A Yoan hit seems unlikely tonight

Need to get out of this inning with only 2 runs scored...desperately.

He can’t hit in the cold and can’t hit tough LHP. Wonderful.

you ever stand in the outfield in 48 degree weather, no sun?  I'm telling you as a player it's just human nature.  Even the pros are not immune.

It was a stupid ass play by Avi I'm not excusing it in any way.  I'm just saying that it's not easy to be sharp as a fielder when your SP is struggling so much, walking guys, taking so much time between pitches.  Any baseball guy will say the same thing.
