GT: Pirates @ White Sox

Wow.

51 pitches to get through that inning.  29 minutes from top to bottom of the inning.

PS.  I don't think we can catch the Orioles for 1st pick.  Imagine after they trade Machado's offense away...and Bundy can't even record an out against KC?

Giolito has been 91-93, touching 94.  Most consistently at 92-93.

The best part about Giolito is that we can criticize him without some idiot claiming racism.

  • Giolito is having a disaster of a season. Any time Cooper wants to work his magic again,  be my guess

Not touching that with a dead horse.

I don't think there's much harm in running him out there with the current outfield, but I'd rather have a guy like Matt there, even against righties.

It was meant for humor. I understand the reasoning for having him in the lineup for now.

That was a badly-needed strikeout on a FB...terrible situational hitting by Moran.

Got dinged up on the slider...not the best location.

Hard to believe this guy was ever a top 10 overall prospect in baseball let alone contending for #1.

94.4 on that force out is one of the best fastballs he has thrown so far this season...

Well, this is pretty much textbook on how NOT to shut down the opposition the inning after your offense gives you a significant cushion!

Gio...you had a 4 run lead man...don't be that guy

Gio looks brutal again.

That was really lucky not to leave the field in less than one hop

Well, this has pretty much been a disaster.

Sigh.

Hope we can get two solid starters out of Lopez and Dunning and call it a win, but it's not the slam dunk this trade looked on the day it was made...Washington should know their talent better than anyone.

And then he breaks off a really dirty slider. He's walking fewer guys than before but its a crap shoot on every pitch if its going to look good or look like crap

Nice throw by Nicky.

Get the bullpen up.

Good thing we're not paying on a "per call" basis for using that phone line or Cooper would be bankrupting the franchise.

I didn’t think Giolito was going to be a 2011 Verlander, but I did think we were past this type of inconsistency.

Giolito flat out sucks.

No plus pitches and horrible command. Looks like the same guy he was early last year in the minors.

He got hit hard twice in that inning but most of those were seeing eye grounders. Not much you can do about that.

Gio isn’t the jackass, but his motion looks a lot like Nook LaLoosh in Bull Durham

Kudos to Yolmer for having an OPS one point higher than Abreu's...

Wonder if he’d have better command in a garter belt?

Yolmer better hit in that 2 spot the rest of the year.
