May 21, 20187 yr Flores has been (pretty) quietly having a very nice season...era in the mid 2’s. All the focus on that team has been with Cease, the five outfielders and Sheets.

A few years ago at Soxfest, Nick Capra, then a minor league guy, maybe the director, was asked for a sleeper. He mentioned Stephens. He said he thought he as just as good as Fulmer who had been with the team for 6 months.

May 22, 20187 yr Not sure why I’m putting this here except it’s often the same crowd: but as I watch Juan Soto belt a HR in his first mlb at bat, I have to say that while it has its misses (usually with mid tier catcher obsessions), soxtalk is pretty damn good at identifying big prospects early. Soxtalkers were all over Acuna and Soto early, and like a year later they are in bigs.

And I think some of us were hoping we could get Luzardo in a Robertson trade.

He was nowhere near top 10 when he became popular. albies I’ll give half credit for since he was a top 20 prospect at time, so not that impressive. Dont forget with Peavy that Alan Hansen was a big one too. Looking back that trade was just a parade of bad prospects. Avi may legit have been best, Iglesias probably though.
