certainly helps having 97-98 in the back pocket.  He got away with one to JD because of the velocity.

Yeah... over the past year (since coming off of the DL last May) he's been on a historical run. The power he's shown is stuff we haven't seen since the steroid era. .300 BA 45 HR's 104 RBI's in just 117 games last year. OPS steadily over .1000 since that time last year too. 

He's 100% hitting like a hall of famer right now. Shame for him that his career got going a bit late.
