  • I think it's been had and will be had enough times in other threads. This is a game thread.  I also just think it's a weird thing to bring up tonight. As if this is the first time Sale has done t

  • Only the Sox could employ a god awful pitch framer when they're trying to rebuild with 4 "young" pitchers.  Whenever Hahn wants to start putting any emphasis on defense, that would be nice.

Rick Hahn is in over his head as a gm and has no idea on how to evaluate the catching position. The guy let Flowers walk and signed Dioner Navarro.

Carlos Rodon vs Kevin Nash?

Hopefully he knows the scouting report that Colon will try and get the called 3rd with his 2 seamer running back over the plate.  It's a good pitch for Yoan to hit, but also the type he gives up on.

He was clearly blocking the plate

Well that went south fast.

#5 Leery Garcia lolol. Usually we have a solid minor leaguer in there.

I thought Moncada was supposed to have 70 grade speed? Sure didn't look like it on the play at the plate.

How MANY times has that happened? Good LORD

I'll bet a lot that we look back on that opportunity in the 6th or 7th when we still have a goose egg on the board.

Not sure he was going full speed, but the thing is, that was just a ridiculous play by Andrus.  Bat also was in Yoan's way.

I think it was a combination of Yoan thinking that there was no chance in hell Andrus was coming home, a ridiculous play on a throw that I thought was going nowhere near Chirinos and the bat being in the way.

Kind of happy he wasn't going 100%, as that could have been painful for him at home with how much the catcher was blocking the plate.

So far in this game -- Colon owes Andrus a Corona, a burrito and a high five.

Now hitting by Engel.

good at bat!  he fouled off a borderline 2-2 inside pitch that he's been taking for called 3rd this year

That's a solid AB by Moncada, but I was really looking for him to hit one over the border of Mexico

Golly man... Abreu's swing is all kinds of off-balance and f'd up.

early on offspeed pitches, late on the fastball

Lol... That was literally right down the middle.

I hate when players do that to basically just get a fan reaction.

Doesn't help when Omar Narvaez is your catcher.

Chris Sale pitching against Yankees at the House that Ruth built. 7 innings and 11- strikeouts and only a first inning single allowed. He has been hitting 100 MPH. We got ripped off

Very, very true.

Navarez jerking that glove all around was high school level pitch presentation.
