In April I was doing everything I could to make sure I saw every Moncada plate appearance. Now, however, I’m almost cringing.

I don’t care what anyone says, Lopez is a badass mothefucker.  He battled to get through that shit with minimum damage and you can still see how pissed he is to have given up those two runs.  Love thi

  • He just mumbles that fan support sucks and then walks back to dugout

  • Not trying to start a fight, but with our initial taste of our prospects not a positive one (relax I like Moncada and Timmy and El-Rey, but they are here and proven to be human) Greg is demanding a So

Does Coop know Spanish? What do you say to a pitcher if he can't understand you? Or is Coop talking mostly to Smith there?

He's fluent.

That last at-bat was like watching a public execution of a loved one.  You knew after the first pitch how that at-bat was ending.

So I looked it up, he's hitting .194 on the season if he doesn't put the first pitch into play.

My god Yolmer, take the easy out. Very disappointed in his decision making this season.

Given he’s batting like .220, that’s not overly surprising, but still very scary.  This coaching staff has to figure how to get him going.  Even against RHP he doesn’t look like the same player we saw in May.

Lopez picks him up. His breaking pitches have been great today.

He's just pulling off the ball too much vs RHP. Causing him to not make the same quality of contact he had earlier in year against fastballs, and it's giving him no prayer against offspeed pitches.  If you go back and look at changeup he missed in last at bat yesterday, it's the perfect illustration of why he's fallen off a cliff.

Interesting that all this scoring comes with no walks.

Quality start. Nice job.

Score more.

Excellent start for Lopez.

Avi is actually really fast, wow

Love watching good Avi.  Before there was Timmy and Yoan to follow their at bats religiously, there was Avi

You won't see this talked about since it's not negative, but Anderson has been having a really good few weeks defensively

Rondon pulled from Charlotte. Wonder if he's coming up and Leury hurt his knee again?

Leury jammed his thumb today

Lopez is becoming more vocal and by next April he will be the undisputed leader of this staff. Fuck yeah.

Gotcha thanks. Sick of seeing that injury this season :)

Really an awesome start given the weather, Rangers being on fire and the poor defense he got today. Smith called a great game. Love seeing 3-2 offspeed pitches, as it's not like our pitchers have good fastball command.

Nice recovery by Fry. Man he's gonna be a nice guy to have in our pen for the next 6 years

More clown college fielding..........

Looks like they’re trying to figure out a way to lose this game.
