  • If Avi is going to hit 1-2 home runs every game I fully endorse extending him.

  • I could hear it on the Reds broadcast. Riggleman says he wants to put him on base, the umpire says Riggleman needs to give the hand signal, not just a verbal request. This is repeated by both parties

The one thing he has to do is get his change down, he keeps leaving that up it will get killed. That was the first bad pitch he made the whole game. I have to wonder if he's tipping. There is no way t

Even with Abreu having a tough last month or so. Removing him from the lineup just makes it that much tougher to look at.

Maybe our strong bottom of the order with the 8-9 combo of Engel and Giolito will compensate for it, though. ?

Leadoff triple, nice work everyone.

OF misplayed that into a triple, should have been a double in the worst case scenario.

And here it goes..

Gio has to tip his cap to Gennett on that one. That was not a bad pitch.

Why in the hell is he pitching from stretch with runner on 3rd and no outs given his struggles from the stretch?  More brilliance from Cooper.

Gio won't be long for this game

So not surprising. What a freaking joke.  Not facing the shitty Twins anymore Lucas .

Go rebuild go!

Fixed

Damn, Giolito making good pitches and just getting beat.

The fastballs he throws are all meatballs

Hey but Cooper woke up at least.

Still no outs. Wowzers.

Good grief get an out. Time to end this fiasco.

Gio has nothing.. already set to turn this shit show off.

Hopefully we get to see Davidson tonight. He's far more interesting to watch pitch.

The one thing he has to do is get his change down, he keeps leaving that up it will get killed. That was the first bad pitch he made the whole game. I have to wonder if he's tipping. There is no way they should have been on him like that. When it is hot/humid like this in an extreme hitters park there isn't much a pitcher can do. If they get in the air, it is going for an XBH. It is like when the wind is blowing out at Wrigley.

Finally an out

So much for Smith making Gio a better pitcher..

You've even said it before, his fastball is just meat due to lack of spin rate.  Good hitters will feast on it when it's over the plate. It was less obvious earlier in the year because he was so wild.
