July 3, 20187 yr No Rutherford tonight, but thank god backup catcher Daniel Gonzalez is getting some playing time in RF. As soon as Robert went down, my first thought was maybe just maybe Blake would play almost everyday but clearly I got to greedy there.

July 4, 20187 yr Wow Hansen is broken right now. Hope he finds some sort of rhythm this year, as it's been a lost season up to this point.

Due to his size, he seems like someone that needs everything to be in sync to have a chance to be effective. Too early to panic, but if this is going on come August, then panic away.

Also I'm wondering if they have him tweaking something mechanically that might have contributed to the injury this spring. Just speculating of course.
July 4, 20187 yr Author Time for something positive. Luis Gonzalez hasn't missed a beat since moving to W-S. I'm pretty high on him. Wonder if he could get a taste of AA by the end of the season.
July 4, 20187 yr 3 of the 5 walks were four pitch walks, other 2 were five pitch walks according to buddy who's watching. Also said Collins is really struggling behind plate.

I'm not watching but If I had to guess, Hansen doesn't appear to have been making it easy for collins.

I was watching some, and from what I could gather from the rather rough camera angle, it seemed to me that Hansen was all over the place, not being able to locate consistently.

Doesn't look like him at the plate or anything, and doesn't have quite as much arm, but Gonzalez could be the second coming of Adam Eaton for the Sox, and that wouldn't be a bad thing.
July 4, 20187 yr Wow, Birmingham had a really rough night. If you thought Hansen was bad, look at the amount of K’s throughout the lineup. Basabe & Booker combined for seven strikeouts alone.
