Why do so many of our guys just wildly swing on pitches that are clearly outside the strike zone?

I wonder if the M's fans call Vogelbach a "fat ass" or that he immediately becomes 50 lbs heavier when he has a bad game or two, like Sox fans used to do to Jenks.

    Felix an off-speed guy now but totally effective. Covey almost breezing. 

     

    Tim has improved quite a bit defensively this year. Which is nice.
