Another strong outing for 20yo Melendez in DSL.  Five no hit innings 8k 4w 1 ER.  WHIP sub one on the year!

Madrigal and Eloy 1-1...different games

Kiley going to see Cease, so for those that want to see him rated higher by FG, tonight could be important

Eloy now 2-2. He was 2-4 yesterday IIRC

Getting picked off is the last box he needs to check.

W-S won game 1. Game 2 on NBCSC at 6:30, I believe.

3-4, RBI now. God April can't come soon enough.

Tyler Johnson another dominant outing. I hope the Sox give him a taste of AA but he might be too important for their playoff team to promote at this time.

Robert leading off. Madrigal-Rutherford hitting 3-4.

Madrigal k. Shoulder high fastball.

They're going to have to tone down the leg kick a bit.  No doubt this is what they work on during the offseason.

Second game in a row Cease might pitch on wet grounds. If they get the game in, I wonder how long he'll be out there.

It’s almost cartoonish how he has the bottom of his shoe facing the pitcher. Probably could tone it down.

Some control issues, but Cease strikes out 3 in the 1st.

What is "On brand?" I've never heard that expression.

I wonder if Cease, like Kopech, has an elite spin rate on his fastball? Could be looking at the top two strikeout leaders in MLB come 2020. Damn that’s sick.

Thinking it means "as advertised"

With more velocity than he saw in college, he's having a hard time getting the foot down and the barrel through the zone.

10 game hitting streak for Bryce Bush.

Collins is going to have to cut down those strikeouts.

Is it bad I like his offensive upside more than Madrigal?

Cease is ridiculous.  He doesn’t even have his best command tonight and he’s still dominating.

It’s nuts. White Sox are on track (knock on wood) to have the best 1-3 starters in MLB by 2020. Add a Chris Sale to the mix in the winter of 2019/2020 and good lord that staff could be absolutely bonkers. Like 90s Braves good...
