Cease is ridiculous.  He doesn’t even have his best command tonight and he’s still dominating.

Did you see that breaking ball that got him out of that inning?

Yes I did...didn’t he ace two guys like that?

Said that in his last full start (not the wet grounds one). That's how good he is.

10 strikeouts for Cease.

EDIT: make that 11.

You know I love him. Amazing that best hitter and pitcher in terms of performance this year for Sox were both in Q trade

It’s nuts. White Sox are on track (knock on wood) to have the best 1-3 starters in MLB by 2020. Add a Chris Sale to the mix in the winter of 2019/2020 and good lord that staff could be absolutely bonkers. Like 90s Braves good...

A Kopech/Rodon/Cease trio could be pretty insane.  And we have a ton of other interesting arms to fill up a staff.  While Sale would be awesome, I’d still rather add a Machado or Arenado.

Shows you also how good the Cubs scouting dept is.

I really don't see us signing Chris Sale to a free agent deal.  Like basically a zero chance.

Kiley going to see Cease, so for those that want to see him rated higher by FG, tonight could be important

Think Kiley was impressed?

Still fun to think about

Said it when the trade was announced and was pumping his tires even when Kopech, Hansen, etc. were the flavors here... he is by far my favorite pitching prospect and will shoot up every list imaginable this season.

Cease up before June and then shut him down at 160?

First AAA hit for Flete in his debut. Eloy of course is 1-1, Zavala as well.

Bush 2-3, RBI, R.

He's been pretty consistent all year, but Rutherford looks like he's hit the wall.  Bat really slow.  Oh well, good bounce back season.

These doubleheaders probably don’t help. Human beings.

He looks the part though. At 22 next year, it should fun to see what he does in Birmingham.

Nunez is pretty much automatic with 2+ hits a night now.

Birmingham in a rain delay now. Thank god Cease got his start in.

As much as Sox fans get irritated with Moncada's slow progress, can y'all imagine how we'd treat Lewis Brinson? Guy has been TERRIBLE ever since being called up, and while it's a small sample, even his rehab in the minors is ugly.

Also, notice who's leading off for the Tides tonight? Mike Yastrzemski. Yep- Carl's grandson.

I wonder if Kiley will have a write up too. Does he normally do one of starts he sees in person?

Seems like Madrigal is really wearing down...long season at OSU, the extended College World Series, then straight to professional baseball.

Think he needs a break, was pulled out of 2nd game for some reason tonight.

Hope they don't send him to the AFL until after he's had the opportunity to make some adjustments with his approach.

Screams reliever doesn't it?

I feel like it would be super odd to have a guy in the AFL in his draft year, especially after a long NCAA season.

You can only send so many guys below AA and Robert has a much stronger case to make the cut.
