  • Benetti is so good. I love him with a rejuvenated Stone. It will be a blessing to never hear blow-hard Hawk again after this season.

  • Alan Trammel wasn't even that good.

Oh man that was a perfect pitch.

Good lord

Beautiful dart right there. Although I'm still trying to figure out how that first pitch wasn't a called strike when that pitch that was almost in the dirt to Yolmer was...

He missed low on that but missed by painting the corner with it

That fastball is just disgusting. The movement, the spin. The rest of the rotation has nothing even close.

That pitch to Yolmer was one of the worst called strikes I've ever seen. Even worse than those on Yoan this year. If Kopech gets that pitch as a called strike, he's unhittable

Kopech’s first inning:

  • 11 pitches / 9 strikes / 2 balls
  • 10 fastballs / 1 slider
  • 3 swinging strikes

Damn I thought the game started at 210 set. Forgot they in Detroit....

I noticed on the Candelario strikeout, he shook off the curve and the slider before insisting on fastball. And then he K'd him with it

Yoan is gonna go yard here just watch me

Omar needs to get playing time over Castillo next year with this bat. What a year for him. Best offensive player we have other than Abreu right now.

First strikeout for Yoan in his last 12 PAs. It was a good streak

I could be wrong, but I think he said he wanted to go heavy fastball the first time through the order and then go heavier with the off-speed stuff as the game progresses.

I should have gone with the most likely scenario

My palms and feet are sweaty. This is so fun.

Nice to have a guy who doesn't struggle to get swinging strikes

That fastball velocity and location is not fair.

Come on Omar you gotta do a better job selling that

Come on ump

Wait so that’s his 4 seamer running inside like that right?

Does he ever throw a 2 seamer?
