Hopefully Passan is on to something and we start seeing some movement on the FA front.  There anticipation is killing me!

What is Passan "on to?" He just said it's the first signing with his comment and not suggesting things will heat up.

Hopefully he's "on to" that it is in fact a good sign for free agency and we have much more action earlier rather than something like last year's debacle.  The class of FAs is better this year no doubt, but last off-season was relatively "meh" IMO.

 

Also, apparently the Phillies are looking into SP help.

Why would that quash Machado to the Yankees talk? They're the Yankees, they could up their payroll by $100 million this year and they might even still stay under the tax, but we know they'll pay the tax to win. They could take on both of those, sign Corbin, and sign Machado.
