November 20, 20187 yr Really bummed. Usually in game threads, the sentiment is always that a sox player failed vs the other players being great (I do this too! not an insult). For a few players, that's not the case. Beltre was a player you watched and couldn't help but be in awe of. And what a career too. For a while it seemed like he was severely underachieving after that amazing year with the dodgers. And then at age 31 he becomes consistently awesome for a decade. He was awesome.

November 20, 20187 yr This sucks. He appeared to be as genuine as they come when it comes to the enjoyment he had playing. Always fun to watch, although being at the Trop in 2011 when he hit three solo home runs in a 4-3 series clinching win in the ALDS wasn’t fun at the time. But looking back, it was something special to see.
