I feel bad for Greg Amsinger and the MLBN guys that need to spend another full day talking about absolutely nothing.

I think they're happy to spend all day talking about the Yankees signing Happ. They probably loathe talking about the White Sox. Royals, Tigers, Indians, A's Rockies, Diamondbacks, Padres, I rarely see any of their shows without the lead story being East Coast -centric. Rosenthal and Dan O'Dowd are the only ones with any perspective.

I would gladly do that if I knew I got to enjoy Vegas and the weather there after.

Poor Greg spending the whole time talking about his stupid ass poker game he made up.

On the bright side, it's only 2pm over there. Still plenty of time to get some deals done.

It's only 3:20!

(Trying to be optimistic)

This is what has happened at the winter meetings this year:

Sox trade for Nova

Phillies sign McCutchen

Rays sign Morton

Yankees possibly re-sign JA Happ

That's it.

I'm not sure it should be a thing anymore.

Happ deal isn’t even done yet.

I know, that is why I said "possibly" in there? Not trying to be an ass, but reading the entire post is your friend.

Lol, alright bud

Rangers closing in on a three-year deal for RHP Lance Lynn

Trade: #reds get RHP Tanner Roark from Nationals for reliever Tanner Rainey.

Did Charlie Morton open the floodgates??

We get some action!!

There was a report that Dombrowski suggested having an offseason deadline after which rosters are locked until Pitchers and Catchers report. I think December 31 would be a nice date for that.

I've heard execs from 2 teams say this week that Craig Kimbrel is looking for a deal north of $100 million for 6 years. He's one of the greatest closers of all time. But is there a record deal out there for him? Hard to say in a bullpen market that has barely moved.

Sources confirm the Los Angeles Dodgers are nearing an agreement with Joe Kelly, as @Ken_Rosenthal and @ByRobertMurray reported. Deal would be for three years and ~$25 million.

Ruh roh. Dodgers busting out the wallet....

These winter meetings didn't live up to the hype. What does baseball need to do to have a 2-3 week sprint where most of the significant moves take place vs. being spread out over 3 months? Maybe it's fine to be 3 months and we're all impatient, but compared to the NFL / NBA, this seems to be boring as all hell.
