This is a lot better than the BA preview. I'm all aboard the Tyler Alexander train to throw him in the starting pitcher lottery. We shouldn't be afraid to offer back though. If not, bring Tyler Jaye home. 

Wasn't there other interesting guys like Bickford not protected? That list is pretty awful.

The rule 5 draft is generally the conclusion of the winter meetings, and its basically already here.....

Probably relievers. I'd say Art Warren, Riley Ferrell and Tyler Jay. I have no idea what they'll actually do. Merkin and Fegan both think they might pass or trade the pick. I think that's foolish when picking 3rd personally but we'll see. Whoever they take will probably have AFL experience though haha.

It’s tough because relievers typically make the most sense, but we already have quite a few options and if you believe the rumors may be adding another established arm to the mix.  Ferrell is super interesting though and it sounds like there is a 50/50 chance he makes it to us.  If he does, I really hope they take him.

Drew Jackson in the Dodgers system could be an interesting player. Quality speed, can likely handle 2B/SS/3B defensively, has some pop.

Same here, still no idea how they fit him into the bullpen, especially if they add a guy Ottavino.  But hey, not my problem!

There aren't many options.  The best option for a 5th starter may be a guy already in our system.
