This is the account that broke Segura to PHI and got credited by Rosenthal.

I thought some rando on twitter broke the Segura trade.

I have never realized how big of pussies Sox fans can be.  Every neutral piece of information is met by people panicking and expecting the worst.

It's because we've been conditioned as Sox fans to expect the worst.

It's awful. Did people not expect other teams to offer him a contract? Please.

100% this. Jesus, some of the posters here are unbearable.

The owner did say stupid money.

If the Yankees don’t fuck around with the second & third luxury tax threshold, no one will IMO.

It's very very SIMPLE.

If the Sox want to shut up all their fans and provide no excuses...then they have to SHOW THE MONEY.

Otherwise, we can be glass half full or half empty all we want.

When you go over 20+ years without making a move like this...something that happens once a generation, what can realistically be expected?

Same account predicted yesterday the Phillies land both:

Coming from a twitter account with the location of Pennsylvania, one might be a little bias

Oh my gosh, you mean the White Sox are not the ONLY team to offer Manny f'in Machado a contract? I'm shocked.

Wasn’t that guy on reddit or did they just have their own blog?  I didn’t think the guy was actual journalist or beat writer.

Again, no point in panicking or freaking out until the player is signed and wearing the teams jersey.

Can't believe the chaos from some of the Sox fans.....

If they know that they can't sign Nola long-term and are also freeing up money by trading their 3B to the Padres...it at least makes some degree of sense.

I get that. But the chicken little stuff because the Phillies are rumored to have offered a contract is just ridiculous. We don't even know if it's true, or how much money was offered.

If they’re not signing Nola long-term, they need to reallocate resources to their rotation.

It’s simple, if the Sox made an offer it’s probably a joke offer but if another team made an offer Machado/Harper are basically signed... ???

This is the guy who broke the Segura trade.

Now we just have to wait for @MLB to tweet out the Phillies offer to see where we stand

If the White Sox owner promised fans they would spent "stupid money," then we wouldn't be having this same conversation.

Not only that, but it's pretty clear the first White Sox official offer was well below expected market value.  So we certainly know  they will be beating that, so it's back to them to respond in a way where Machado is convinced not to keep going back and forth for weeks.

This Phillies account is the one who was credited by Rosenthal so either way they’re legit.

I mean they could have very well been using this guys info and Rosenthal just credited him.

All the fans who show up at times like these...I almost never see them on a daily basis in the game threads.  If the signing doesn't work out, they simply disappear back into the woodwork.

Heck, if the front office could see they have as many page views as 1/4th of their season attendance, they would recognize the appetite and need for the fanbase to have SOMETHING to believe in.
