January 22, 20197 yr Mussina is on the bubble. Looks like he is going to either get in or miss by a handful of votes if the unknown ballots treat him similarly to how they did last year.
January 22, 20197 yr My opinion on Bonds is, if you don't think youre good enough to not cheat, why should I think youre good enough.
January 22, 20197 yr Glad Halliday made it. He is going to be a good realistic modern comp for today’s starting pitchers.
January 22, 20197 yr Yeah. Good thing writers are kinda veering off the 300 win thing. Cause in this day and age its impossible to get there. I really don't think we will see another in a long time
January 22, 20197 yr I'm surprised Halladay is getting that high vote %; he really wasn't better than Mussina and Mussina struggled to get in. Glad to see those 4 make it.
January 22, 20197 yr Halladay is prime example why you don't give up and a good arm pitcher that quick. Yes there's gotta be some fortune, good luck to it and good coaching, but goes to show you....

Glad to see those 4 make it. Halladay was a much more dominant pitcher and was more of a workhorse than Moose was. Moose just had a longer and more durable career.

Glad to see those 4 make it. People will vote the death and that's fair. But Halladay was just a lot more dominant at his peak and that makes it easier to remember. Two time Cy Young and finished in the top 3 five times. Mussina finished top 3 once and of course never won one. I dont think he was ever the best pitcher on his team during the Yankee years.
January 23, 20197 yr Halladay was the most dominant pitcher for a good 5 year run. Mussina surely deserves it...but was never the best pitcher in baseball. Gosh I always wanted Doc on the Sox. At least MVP 05 baseball made it happen...
January 23, 20197 yr Wow.. I was betting my money Derek Jeter would be the first unanimous HOF, not Rivera. Happy Edgar got in. Edited January 23, 20197 yr by SoxAce
