If you count one of our starters going 3 innings giving up no runs, other than that,  not really. Probably last time you'll see CC pitch against the Sox.

Nova has settled down and is pitching very well. Good job alternating speeds, location, ball movement, and eye level.

My Pirates contact told me Nova is the ultimate Jekyll & Hyde starter

When he has command he's pretty good . If he leaves anything over the plate he's not. Pretty much that way with any starterwho depends on changing speeds and keeping hitters off balance with a OK fastball. Good thing is he's not a guy who walks a lot of guys.

We are really playing the Yankees at the right time.  This lineup only has a few major leaguers in it.

Oh Ricky, pinch hitting Yolmer for Rondon just because a righty comes in. 

No surprise Yolmer strikes out. 

This pinch hitting moment makes no freaking sense.  In a 0-0 game, nobody on, you pinch hit?  What if you need a pinch runner later?

I see no reason to pinch hit for Rondon  in a 0-0 tie in the 6th.

This strike zone is huge.

Imagine thinking Yolmer is a viable pitch hitter

Sanchez and Luerys body language looks like they are about to cry.

Maybe something happened to Rondon. Geeze.
